Detailed Production Scheduling & Material Requirements Planner

(DPS & MRP Planner)

(full time 40 hours per week)

 

Planning role in an international Operations environment.

We are looking for a DPS & MRP Planner to manage detailed production scheduling and material planning, ensuring smooth and reliable manufacturing operations. In this role, you will act as a key link between Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics, balancing service levels, capacity, and inventory. The DPS & MRP Planner ensures that production plans are feasible, executable, and reliable, enabling the factory to meet customer demand without interruptions. You do this by influencing positively KPI’s like COF (customer order fulfillment), APP (adherence to production plan) and DBP (days between production) while minimizing risk on Bad Goods.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

With this role you are taking ownership on different responsibilities and work closely with different stakeholders:

 

Detailed Production Scheduling (DPS)

  • Create a feasible and effective production plan within the DPS period, in line with market demand and MPS plan, that takes into consideration available capacity, labor and materials, while ensuring plant efficiency and customer service level.
  • React to changes in both supply and demand and realign the plan to minimize supply risks while protecting plant performance. 
  • Regularly review of production cycles, lot sizes, plant capacity and utilization and future constraints (e.g. plant shutdowns) in consultation with production.
  • Provide advanced information on labor requirements within the DPS period. 
  • Identify deviations and initiate corrective actions to minimize disruptions.

 

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Run and manage the MRP process within the ERP system.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and semi‑finished goods.
  • Proactively identify and resolve material shortages and excess stock.
  • Coordinate with Procurement on purchase proposals, deliveries, and supplier issues.
  • Optimize inventory levels in line with service, cost, and working capital targets.

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Import/Export and Master Data teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for planning- and material‑related topics within the factory.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes.
  • Support I2L initiatives to ensure flawless execution of new launches and changes in portfolio.
  • Make regular housekeeping in the system (e.g. no old orders) and ensure that all planning Master Data are updated regularly.
  • Contribute to key meeting & reviews as required (DOR, WOR, DPS/MPS meetings, etc..).

 

Your profile

For this position we are looking for a new member of the team that takes responsibility for the scope of work and which like to collaborate with stakeholders within the organisation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a planning or other Supply Chain position.
  • Solid knowledge of DPS and MRP processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic production environment.
  • Speak English and is comfortable working with international teams.
  • Are well organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving data-related problems.

 

What can you expect from us:

  • A full-time position (40 hours per week);
  • The salary for this position ranges between €4.652 and €6.978 gross per month based on a full-time contract. The exact salary placement depends on your knowledge and relevant work experience;
