We are looking for a:

Project Logistics Manager
 (Full-time, 40 hours per week)


As a Project Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in the development and successful start-up of our highly automated nutraceutical manufacturing facility in Almere. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the end-to-end logistics operation, ensuring uninterrupted material flow from inbound receiving through production supply, warehousing, and outbound distribution.

You will lead the implementation of advanced logistics and warehouse automation technologies, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), automated dosing solutions, and Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) management processes. In addition, you will build and develop a highly efficient logistics organization that supports operational excellence, compliance, and sustainable business growth.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, Procurement, and external technology partners, you will ensure that logistics processes are fully integrated into the new manufacturing environment and ready to support future growth.

You will play a key role in establishing operational excellence, driving innovation, and enabling the successful growth of Nestlé Health Science's manufacturing capabilities in Almere.


As
Project Logistics Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of the logistics operating model for the new manufacturing facility.
  • Ensuring uninterrupted material flow from inbound logistics to production supply and outbound distribution.
  • Driving the implementation and optimization of AGV, ASRS, automated dosing, and Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) management solutions.
  • Establishing logistics processes, standards, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
  • Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal quality standards.
  • Driving TPM, KSR, productivity, waste reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Building and developing a high-performing logistics team.
  • Acting as the logistics representative during factory commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and sustainable operations


What we expect from a
Project Logistics Manager:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, or project management roles.
  • Experience within food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience with warehouse automation technologies such as AGVs and ASRS.
  • Experience implementing SAP, digital logistics solutions, and automated operations.
  • Experience leading organizational change and transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and CAPEX project management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics planning, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience using operational dashboards and performance data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills within complex matrix organizations.
  • Ability to lead automation-driven transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • High levels of ownership, resilience, and accountability.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is considered a strong advantage
