We are looking for a:

Project Quality Manager
 (Full-time, 40 hours per week)

As Project Quality Manager you report to the Operational Start-Up Leader with a functional link to the Quality Function. You provide overall leadership of the Quality function for a new manufacturing facility and act as the guardian of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You ensure consistent implementation of all quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements to guarantee the production of safe, compliant, and high-quality products. This role is critical in protecting consumers, brands, and Nestlé’s license to operate, while driving a strong quality culture and continuous improvement across all project activities.

As Project Quality Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Lead the definition, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System in line with NQMS, FSSC 22000, ISO, HACCP, GMP/cGMP, and FSMS requirements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of HACCP, hygiene, allergen management, sanitation, NGMP, pest control, and food defense programs.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, quality monitoring, sensory evaluation, shelf-life management, net content control, and microbiological and hygiene programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA / 21 CFR where applicable, WHO Code, and statutory regulations).
  • Define and maintain audit readiness for internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely and effective closure of findings.
  • Communicate new or updated regulatory and quality requirements across the facility and manage interactions with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure SAP implementation in line with internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Drive quality performance through KPI definition, monitoring, trend analysis, SPC, root cause analysis, and CAPA execution.
  • Lead periodic quality reviews and support achievement of overall project objectives.
  • Champion standard practices, and continuous improvement.

What we expect from a Project Quality Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Dairy Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–10+ years of experience in Quality roles within manufacturing environments (preferably FMCG or food).
  • Strong expertise in food safety, HACCP, GMP/cGMP, FSMS, audit management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience managing quality systems (deviations, non-conformities, CAPA, change control) and leading audits.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate technical topics into business insights.
  • High integrity, accountability, and commitment to safety, quality, and people development.
