Vegetarian & vegan food is hot. For various reasons, more and more people are actively reducing their meat consumption. This brings opportunities, both for the planet and for responsible entrepreneurship! For over 30 years, Garden Gourmet has been discovering, developing and producing tasty, plant-based products based on wheat, soya and vegetables: meat substitutes.

 

In addition to the Netherlands, the products are also available all over Europe; in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and other countries. We are the European market leader with different competitors in each country.  The market is growing explosively – so every effort is being made to maintain and further expand our position

 

As of August 1st, 2024, we are looking for a new Marketing & Communications intern. Do you think it is a challenge to work in a fast-growing category and do you have passion for food? Then we are looking for you!

 

As Marketing & Communication intern you support the communication team and have the following responsibilities:

  • Support and increase knowledge in sustainability, packaging and ingredients;
  • Contribute to communication projects with market and competition analyses;
  • Contribute to the execution of marketing plans and our digital activities, such as the development of content on our website and social media;
  • Provide support for international packaging modifications and approval processes;
  • Make an active contribution in brainstorming sessions.

 

This is your challenge at Garden Gourmet:

From the head office of Nestlé, The Netherlands we, as European Marketing Team, provide various countries with knowledge, expertise, data and assets to drive local growth. You will be fully involved in the commercial, international team to properly support both existing and new products and to promote the Garden Gourmet brand. An interesting and challenging internship with excellent guidance in a team with a no-nonsense mentality. You will get to know FMCG, the food category and you will get to know your way within the Nestlé multinational environment in an entrepreneurial category.

 

You bring this along for the vacancy:

You adapt easily to new situations and ways of working. You look for solutions and can work independently from others. In addition, you are action and result driven. If you see opportunities, you like to take the initiative and act immediately. You are able to separate main and side issues and you are able to assimilate new knowledge quickly. You like to work carefully and neatly and pay attention to detail in the execution of daily tasks. Next to this, you know how to get a message across in different ways, depending on the target group and relations. In addition, we are looking for:

  • HBO/WO student;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language verbally and in writing;
  • You are a passionate foodie;
  • Affinity with (digital) communication.

 

This vacancy offers more than just a challenge:

  • A full-time internship (40 hours a week) for 5-6 months;
  • 10 vacation days (based on a 6-month internship);
  • An internship allowance of € 500 a month (based on a full-time workweek);
  • Good food, good life activities, such as daily free fruits and vegetables, and a healthy varied range of foods in our restaurant;
  • Reimbursement of travel costs;
  • A work laptop;
  • A Nestlé Internship Training Plan specifically created for your development;
  • Pleasant working environment.
