Minimum Relevant work experience : Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in coffee agronomy or extension services.

Nestlé Cameroun is seeking a Nescafé Plan Agronomist who will serve as the lead, providing technical and operational support for the development of green coffee in the country. The role focuses on field implementation, engagement with coffee stakeholders, and collaboration with key actors across coffee-growing regions

 

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver farmer training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) aligned with Nescafé Plan guidelines.
  • Promote regenerative agriculture practices including soil health, pruning, shade management, and IPM.
  • Support improvement of harvesting and post-harvest practices to enhance coffee quality.
  • Support compliance with food safety requirements (including pesticides, MOSH/MOAH risk prevention).
  • Support readiness for sustainability standards such as 4C, etc.
  • Establish and support basic traceability and farm-level data collection systems.
  • Engage with farmers, cooperatives (create where not existing), venders, research institutions, and government partners.
  • Contribute to feasibility assessments and internal technical reporting & support PR activities
  • participate in actual purchase of green coffee where required
  • Connect and communicate with diverse stakeholders including government, research Institution, etc.

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Minimum Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plantation Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in coffee agronomy or extension services.
  • Strong knowledge of Robusta coffee systems (Arabica an advantage)
  • Experience working with smallholder farmers in Africa
  • Experince with sustainability standards (4C, RA, Regen Ag etc.)
  • Experience in connecting & communicating with diverse audiences including government, research Institutions, Universities, internal stakeholders, etc.
