Minimum Educational qualification: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

Minimum Relevant work experience: Minimum of 2 years as a logistics officer or freight forwarding officer or clearing agent or in a similar capacity.

Position Summary:

Nestlé is currently looking for an Import and Export Officer at Nestle Business Services Office  to ensure an outstanding service delivery on invoice payments on import, export and customer service export operations, managing day-to-day activities and in strict compliance with all applicable import and export laws and regulations, in the most cost and time efficient manner.

Your Responsibilities….

  • Ensure all import documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance of government regulations concerning import, trade agreements, and global operations.
  • Monitor the activities of agents, regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders closely to ensure proper documentation in conformance with global trade standards.
  • Analyze and verify import costs, including freight, insurance, and customs duties.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless import operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in cost settlement and reporting.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track import costs and performance metrics.

 

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Two or more years of relevant experience or role at market/business environment:

- Import / Export and Transportation

- Foreign Trade & Customs

  • Ability to be pragmatic and fact-based
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and import compliance.
  • Ability to be analytical
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Ability to be innovative seeking new ways to improve or facilitate the logistics or supply chain function
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to speak French or Portuguese is an added advantage
