Nestlé is currently looking for a Local Sourcing Manager who would be responsible for developing, validating, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories (at NiM level), in line with Nestlé’s Strategic Sourcing processes, policies, and tools, applying the Nestlé standardized procurement model.

 

A day in the life of a Local Sourcing Manager:

  • Lead and manage a team of Strategic Buyers to define and implement the strategies for the locally managed categories (at NiM level), utilizing the Strategic Sourcing process tools, templates and policies (developed by NesTrade).
  • Develop and maintain deep category expertise, ensuring capability building within the team.
  • Conduct demand and supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis.
  • Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) understanding, as well as map how sourcing processes and channels work within the locally managed category (at NiM level), identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Plan and execute negotiation events, seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers for the locally managed categories (at NiM level).
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Nestlé’s Corporate Business Principles, Procurement policies and standardized models, Nestlé’s supplier codes and best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to integrate category plans in local budgets and price planning processes as required, aligning sourcing strategies with business outcomes.
  • Drive supplier innovation and continuous cost improvement initiatives.
  • Lead contract management and Supplier Relationship Management, including SLA reviews.
  • Ensure accurate contract and supplier data management (e.g., SAP contracts, purchasing info records, master data).

 

What Will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement.
  • Proven track record in delivering competitive advantage to the Business through the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies.
  • Robust expertise in managing multiple spend categories and strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and driving results.
  • Strong negotiation and project management capabilities.
  • Solid experience in supplier relationship and risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of e-auctions and procurement tools is an advantage.
  • Strong cost optimization mindset and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and compartmentalize effectively.
