Minimum Educational qualification: HND / B.Sc. in Food Science/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agricultural or Chemical Engineering
Minimum Relevant work experience: Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Line Technician, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a Manufacturing company.

Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking for a suitable candidate for the Production Supervisor role, who will supervise and monitor autonomous maintenance on the production line under his responsibility to meet up with Safety, Quality and output requirements through a strict follow up of the laid down procedure.
A day in the Life of the Production Supervisor…
- Ensure that all issues relating to safety in his area of work and within the factory are given priority, escalate and follow up on their resolution if he needs a support.
- Maintain Food Safety awareness and its relevance to ensure strict Compliance in the workplace. Act as back up for the line Manager when requested.
- Responsible for monitoring all hygiene/cleaning operations in production floor areas and enforces good housekeeping.
- Ensures production is properly executed to manufacture goods meeting prescribed standards, on time and meeting consumers expectations
- Responsible for achieving the required production plan with the acceptable quality standard at first time right according to standard specifications.
- Perform stock inventory during his shift and report accordingly to his line Manager.
- Must ensure that proper shift handover is done according to the Nestle Continuous Excellence standard.
- Act as an End User in the shift, to ensure that all transactions are properly captured in SAP ensures proper coordination of duties during break pairing.
- Fill professionally the production reports and other related documents as required.
- Supervises autonomous maintenance, and CIL of assets under his portfolio.
- Drive safe working environment in compliance with the local laws striving for zero accidents through continuous coaching of the Operators and technicians on safety behaviours
- Continuously use TPM methodologies to drive cost optimization across the resources on the shop floor
- Analyse each line key performance measures in order to ensure optimum utilization of the asset
- Adequate and efficient usage of materials in striving for zero loss.
What Will Make You Successful?
To be successful in this position you must have
- B.Sc. or HND in Engineering (Food Science/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agricultural or Chemical Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Line Technician, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a Manufacturing company.
- Good attitude to work and ability to interact and communicate with people.
- Demonstration of technical ability by proactively confronting machine malfunctions.
- Demonstration of analytical ability to make accurate evaluation of multiple and complex data in making an informed decision.
- Must be result oriented – ability to meet deadlines, ability to achieve result through other people, and a problem solver.
