POSITION SUMMARY:

 

* This role has a starting rate of $29.27 per hour plus shift differential where applicable.*


Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Together, we contribute to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we are truly proud to call home. That’s why we not only make high quality food for pets but our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.


As a Forklift Operator, you will perform a variety of tasks within our warehouse including loading trucks, unloading trucks, case picking product, and staging finished product as it is released from our packing area. You’ll be part of a team that maintains a safe work environment and provides a quality to our customers. 


*Must be willing to work night shift*

 

  • Load and unload trucks and/or rail cars
  • Perform daily maintenance checks of forklift operations
  • Practice good inventory, warehousing sanitation, and housekeeping
  • Use FIFO rotation to maintain proper storage of materials for customer needs
  • Utilize RF Scan guns and terminal using warehouse management system
  • Inspect, load, and put away products safely and effectively
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ experience operating a forklift in a high volume warehouse/distribution center environment OR completion of a certified forklift operation training program
