POSITION SUMMARY


Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Together, we contribute to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we are truly proud to call home. That’s why we not only make high quality food for pets but our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.
 

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the overall management of Information Technology and associated hardware at multiple factories within a region; emphasis placed on coordinating multiple IT Teams maintaining technologies that support the business strategies of the manufacturing/distribution environment. Also maintains an active role in the overall factory management process as an integral part of factory executive committees.  Key responsibilities include the ability to coordinate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

 

  • Align and supervise activities of Information Technology personnel across assigned region.  Proactively ensure appropriate skill levels are maintained within the region in accordance with factory business strategies.
  • Provide strategic leadership, tactical planning and daily operational oversight to ensure optimum uptime of critical operational technologies. Collaborate/consult with both internal and external departments in regards to technology, focus and alignment.
  • Accountable for the coordination of Information Technology projects for assigned region
  • Develop and maintain relationships with factory’s leadership in assigned region
  • Implement long-term Information Technology Planning/Strategy with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Administer factory, NPPC and Nestle’ Information Technology security policies and procedures in accordance with Nestle Purina PetCare standards.
  • Draft and administer plant Information Technology Budget, Capital Program, and maintain Factory Technology Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Leadership on the Shop Floor participation, balanced across designated region

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Technology, Business Administration or related degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, management or information technology role
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams

 

Other

  • This Information Technology Manager will be based out of Allentown, PA but will also support and travel to our factory in Mechanicsburg, PA.  

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $106,000-$162,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
