Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

 

*This role starts at $31.75 per hour plus differential where applicable.*

 

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will gain a basic working knowledge of all equipment necessary for Plant Operation. This includes (but not limited to) lubrication, preventive maintenance (PM’s), repairs, and modifications. In this role you will perform basic mechanical maintenance as directed, safely and efficiently. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Have the ability to perform basic mechanical work related to the installation or repair of equipment in use in the Wet Plant operation. Perform lubrication, preventive maintenance, and repairs as specified by an approved work order or directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Production Supervisor.
  • Use prescribed protective safety equipment and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures.
  • Be able to read, follow, and interpret basic types of piping schematics as well as blueprints, illustrated part’s breakdown, etc., essential to this plant.
  • Utilize PdM (Predictive Maintenance) tools such as handheld vibration analyzer, sonic tester, laser aligner, and a thermal imager to detect and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Be able to replace bearing, seals, shafts, drive components (e.g., sheaves, sprockets, chain, belts, etc.) throughout the Wet Plant.
  • Communicate and work closely with the hourly personnel in each department of the Wet Plant and utilize their assistance wherever possible in completing repairs as soon as possible.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.
