Position Summary

 

Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Allentown balances the identity of a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we’re truly proud to call home.  

As a Training Specialist you will work on various learning projects and initiatives, driving skill and knowledge development to deliver business results as a learning organization. You will utilize the iLearn, POKA, and other training systems to ensure the new employees are supplied with what they will need in their roles. You will work on different training resources that include photographs, transcripts, and video software to supply teams with most related trainings needed for their teams. You will work with the different levels within the factory to gather feedback and implement it into the factory trainings.

 

  • Securing resources for scheduled New Employee Orientation (NEO) and facilitate the schedule within the factory
  • Support and partner with project teams for the develop, documentation and data management of work instructions, standards and training for new equipment, external vendor training, and systems
  • Improves, updates, and maintains record keeping systems that provides relevant information concerning training content, activities, attendance, and evaluation for both classroom and (OJT) learning engagement
  • Develops and delivers classroom/online/virtual training with an emphasis on our 70-20-10 learning principles using appropriate modes, methods, and materials for the best learning venue and knowledge transfer, with skill application
  • Performs debriefs of Orientation weeks and provides feedback to all involved by actively engaging in NEO Kaizen activities

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 2+ years of training experience within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business, or related field
     

The approximate pay range for this position is $56,000-$88,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
