POSITION SUMMARY
Drives smooth and efficient importation and transportation of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods for both IMS and 3rdparties. Manage and supervises operational team (2-3) to ensure stock on availability to avoid loss of sales. Manage shipments across the MENA region, coordinating with IMS and third-party suppliers, and overseeing E2E triangular invoicing. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as freight forwarders, shipping lines, and inspection companies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve sales targets, launch new products, and manage costs. Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods, contributing to the success of the IMS division.
Oversee SAP transactions and ensuring efficient management of the physical flow of goods.
Achieve on-time Customer Order Fulfillment and maintain consistent customer/receiver satisfaction.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
· Supervises Import/Export related activities and requirement for smooth execution of order replenishment process (customs clearance & sea international transportation booking, etc.)
· Communicate and collaborate regularly and consistently with all the other areas involved in the Supply Chain end-to-end process (i.e., Supply Planners, Import Clearing Officers, CS &D Managers, Suppliers, Regulatory, Shipping lines, Globe, Finance ) on IMS related matters.
· Accelerate clearance with customers /Clusters and ensure timely readiness of the stocks for sale in collaboration with demand planners and import clearance officers.
· Reduction on cost , documentation lead time and requirements by conducting process mapping with suppliers and inspection companies . Lean methodology with suppliers and external parties for TDC (Total Delivery Cost ) savings and zero demurrage.
· Ensure monthly adherence to functional health checks and periodic review of General Shipping Instructions (GSI) for better management of risk and opportunities.
· Established relationship with Category supply planners, IMS suppliers and Clusters by initiating regular alignment / reviews to manage exceptions and potential issues. (e.g., DOR, WOR, MOR, QOR)
· Monitor IMS (Inter- Market Supply ) claims to supplier within the agreed lead-time to closure.
ARE YOU A FIT?
- Preferred 1- 3 years of experience in Import/Export or shipping industry Planner
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in fields such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Business.
- Knowledge of International Trade, Banking Instruments,
- Customs Law and Regulations is an advantage.
- Must be familiar with shipping industry systems / programs to leverage on Carriers portal to create visibility of cargo and shipment status.
- Experience in related business improvement projects.
- Strong communication and ownership
- Eye for detail - Ability to prioritize
- Able to balance/challenge conflicting objectives
