Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this position will be responsible for daily Facility related activities; maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of building equipment, structures and grounds.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain the facility and grounds to be inspection ready at all times
• Perform indoor and outdoor inspections of buildings including parking lots, signs, sidewalks and grounds
• Painting throughout facilities to include; "5S", aisle ways, hallways, walls and rooms as well as structural and utility systems
• General maintenance and repair of building roof, floors, doors, walls, windows, ceiling tiles, furniture, plumbing, floor drains and lighting systems
• General labor work as assigned both inside and outside the building during all weather conditions
• Preventive maintenance of specified rooftop equipment to include, but not limited to: non-ammonia intake and exhaust fans and roof top equipment: filters, belts, coil cleaning
• Maintain work order compliance daily, utilizing the CMMS (SAP)
• Communicate with teammates, work as a team and ensure a safe working environment
• Attend and participate in job specific training (both classroom and on the job)
• Work with contractors to efficiently and safely coordinate 3rd party service work
• Utilize proper job permits/risk predictions, perform inspections and capture time via work orders
Preferred Associates Degree or equivalent military training
Must have 3-5 years (within the last 7 years) documented experience in the operation/maintenance of complex building systems, structures and equipment
• Basic computer skills comfortable with Microsoft Suite, navigating through web pages and email
Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Must be proficient with electrical multimeter and electrical safe work practices
Position Requirements - Skills:
• Must be able to work independently as a self-starter or in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and handle several issues at once
• Proficient use of hand tools, portable power tools, electrical meters
• Courteous and professional communication skills via email, phone and radio
• Good computer skills, CMMS (SAP), email (Microsoft Outlook)
• Repair and painting of building structures and designated equipment
• Working knowledge of building roofs, floors, doors, walls, ceilings, plumbing, floor drains, lighting and other building related systems
• Able to interpolate prints, drawings and layouts specific to job tasks
• Grounds and property inspections and maintenance, at times job can be dirty and labor intensive
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions, as well as perform routine physical work, lifting up to 75 lbs. Includes: bending, squatting and standing for long periods of time. Ability to climb ladders and steps is required
• Strong carpentry skillset to include a wide variety of general repairs as well as furniture moving
• Must be able to operate fork trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, aerial work platforms, lulls and have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
