Position Summary

The Sr Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for overall general control of inventories in the factory & outside storage locations, to include but not limited to, reconciling physical locations. Verifies daily production runs by reconciling raw/pack & halbs inventories. When needed, assigns locations for storing, transferring, requisitioning and shipping of ingredients, packing materials.  Utilizes Warehouse Management System (SAP) to track, locate and transfer raw and pack materials. Communicates regularly with associates from Planning and other functions regarding inventory status and availability. Assists in taking physical inventories and cycle counts, and growing competency on the shop floor against inventory/warehouse standards and best practices.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform Cycle Counts and various inventory and compliance health checks, and follow up with investigations
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation process
  • Schedule/monitor inbound/outbound material to and from outside storage in conjunction with the plant’s production schedule
  • Create transfers and allocate storage locations/pallet quantities in SAP for materials
  • Assist in the competency building of hourly employees to warehousing/inventory standards
  • Manage the expiry process with the ultimate goal of reducing write-offs due to expiring materials
  • Performs additional duties assigned by Supervisor

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Preferred BA / BS Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent experience.  SAP experience preferred

 

Experience

 

3 years progressive experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment

Previous supervisory/people leader responsibilities preferred

Firm understanding of manufacturing production and distribution processes

Good understanding of manufacturing and logistic processes.

Experience in the food processing, aseptic or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred

Troubleshooting / problem-solving (analytical) skills

Interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels from hourly to management)

Leadership and teamwork skills
