We are looking for a Motivated Production Operator to join our team. Production Responsibilities include the operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting of equipment in receiving, production, packaging, and distribution areas of the factory. This includes monitoring processes and coordinating production operations as well as movement of materials and product throughout the facility. Positions in this job group involve work with computers, standing, bending, and lifting frequently.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
- Hourly pay rate of $21.65
- $1.80/hr for night shift
- 2/2/3 rotating schedule
- Shifts-6am-6pm / 6pm-6am
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
- Operate, clean, and inspect equipment.
- Complete effective and efficient changeovers.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance and adhere to the quality standards outlined in the HACCP plan, QMS and other quality SOPs.
- Pull product samples as required and perform quality inspections on the product and packaging.
- Perform the sanitation of the equipment and area (includes disassembly and assembly of equipment).
- Take action and ensure that proper follow-up has taken place when quality defects occur.
- Work with others to identify the root cause of downtime & ensure that downtime is accurately recorded in a downtime collection system such as SAM.
- Work with your peers and the team to make recommendations on how to improve the operation to optimize production with positive contribution to all key plant indicators safety, quality, cost, and service.
- Work safely and report any unsafe situations.
- Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive Nestle culture and follow established values
- Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectives
- Proactive individual that takes responsibility for their equipment, line, coworkers and the continuous improvement of the operation
- Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected
- Detail oriented individual who accurately records information
- Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.)
- Able to work with computers (navigating systems, recording information, using to find information to perform the job)
- Has positive conflict management skills
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Accountable for personal development & improvement
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment & handle multiple tasks
- May require internal & external certification
-Stack/unstack products as needed, lifting products/materials up to 50 lbs
SKILLS:
-Maintain First In, First Out practices
-Participate with all planning team functions/debriefs
-Sample incoming ingredients as specified
-Unload tank trucks
-Clean and storage of equipment used in unloading process
-Recording of load properly and entering into SAP system
-Keep work area area clean at all times
-Any other duties assigned by supervisor
-Responsible for unloading the incoming bulk ingredients safely, into the proper holding tank
-Responsible for handling equipment properly thereby preventing any equipment damage
-Adhere to the quality standards outlined in the HACCP plan, QMS and other quality SOPs
-Perform quality inspections on the product and packaging
-Perform the sanitation of the equipment and area (includes disassembly and assembly of equipment)
-Take action and ensure that proper follow-up has taken place when quality defects occur
-Work with your peers and the team to make recommendations on how to improve the operation
-Follow-up on issues to ensure that they are completed and that the issues are addressed
-Perform daily, routine safety inspection of material handling equipment
-Work safely and report any unsafe situations
-Ensure that the inventory is correct through cycle counting and following proper SOPs
-Operate RF computer terminal and bar code scanner
-Understand and work with company Hold Program to ship only clear and salable product
damage ot of load
REQUIREMENTS:
-High school Diploma or GED preferred
-2 years of work experience or post-secondary education
-3 months of manufacturing of beverage products, and/or Nestle experience preferred
