Nestlé USA, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Anderson, IN
Duties: Provide expertise and support to the Production department and the Factory Leadership Team, fostering a cross-departmental quality and compliance mindset. Act as a communication liaison between management and quality staff to support corporate and plant-driven initiatives. Responsible for assuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards established by the company and various federal, state, and local regulatory agencies including NQMS / FSSC 22000/ ISO 9001. Using Defect Root Cause Analysis for the investigation of consumer and customer complaints and quality related losses, collaborate with plant personnel and direct reports to ensure root causes are identified and systematic preventive/corrective actions are implemented and documented per policy. Create and manage stock status process for non-conforming products, including rework, donation, and destruction. Expedite processing of holds to ensure dispositions are timely and hold inventory remains at acceptable levels. Provide technical expertise and support to ensure continuous improvement for Quality metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in the area of responsibility as well as supporting improvement initiatives (e.g. consumer complaints, product defect reduction) with the factory. Responsible for development, training, coaching and supervision of QA Specialists that directly reports to this position. This includes objective setting and providing the resources for their success. Manage QA related projects from inception to final reports and implementation that are based inside and outside the resources of the Department on a factory-wide basis.
Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field and 1 year of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment. Must have 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment. Must also have experience in each of the following: Food safety / HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Controls, Sanitary design/controls, pest control, basic food regulations, specifications, analytical and microbiological lab methods and basic food technology; Micro and Hygiene monitoring; Experience with computer systems, personal computers, and spreadsheet software including SAP and MS Office Suite; and working within SAP/GLOBE systems.
5% domestic travel required for training.
