REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in chemistry, biology, general science, or related field preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years work experience or post-secondary education.
  • Knowledgeable of Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) preferred.
  • Experience in a GLP laboratory preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment preferred.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Able to work with computers (navigating systems, recording information, using to find information to perform the job).  This includes but is not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive Nestle culture and follow established values.
  • Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals and objectives.
  • Proactive individual that takes responsibility for their equipment, line, coworkers and the continuous improvement of the operation.
  • Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.
  • Detail oriented individual who accurately records information.
  • Has positive conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Accountable for personal development and improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • May require internal and external certification.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Manage finished product, semi-finished product, packaging, and raw material sample receipt, handling, and testing.
  • Review acceptability of incoming raw ingredient and packaging materials for conformance to release specifications.
  • Perform sensory analysis on incoming materials and finished products.
  • Perform data entry of laboratory results in SAP and other data management systems.
  • Take temperatures of laboratory refrigerator(s), incubator(s) daily.
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner of all out-of-norm results to resolve deviations.
  • Revise procedures, protocols and process flows as necessary.
  • Order supplies and track inventory of laboratory consumables.
