POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, DC & Warehouse manages the day-to-day operation of a specific distribution center within Nestle’s Supply Chain network. This position is responsible for the overall efficient operation and inventory management of the distribution center, complying with all policies and procedures to ensure our goods are shipped and received safely and in accordance with company service level standards. Additionally, they are responsible for coordinating with cross-functional partners in finance, transportation, and other operations units; as well as responsible for conformance to operational budget inclusive of the responsibility for measuring and monitoring against established KPI's. Actively manages and communicates the responsibility of purchasing and managing equipment assets. Prepares related reports and audits current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations. Ensures employee conformance to established practices and proper training of staff. Leads in an empowered workforce environment.
 
 
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Budget • Setting, reviewing, evaluating and communicating the DC budget. • Work on variance explanations and corrective forecasting with Finance on a monthly basis. • Manage labor expense and productivity KPI’s to ensure an efficient but cost-effective operation.
• Performance Management • Set and meet the network and facilities goals on safety, production and quality areas. • Manage the programs, processes, reports, trends, issues, and resolve gaps. • Support the Team and process improvement environment to empower and challenge employees.
• People Management • Providing leadership and guidance to help empower people to make their goals and develop the people with potential. • Ensure strong development plans are in place to strengthen the bench for future supply chain leaders. • Strong emphasis on process improvement teams. • Close alignment and relationship with HR to ensure operation within guidelines and promote a non-union environment. • Provide over-site of safety, team structure, training programs, wage and benefit process, discipline, incentives and related activities.
• Administration • Setting and managing goals and processes of above areas (short and long term). • Dealing with the ambiguity of daily operations. • Facilitating conflict management and goal alignment for individuals and teams. • Re-evaluation of priorities and alignments to balance resources (people and budget). • On-going management of daily communications (phone, e-mail, meetings, etc.). • Collaborate with and constructively challenge all supply chain functions to achieve the best end to end processes that benefit our bottom line, customers, and consumers.
• Safety Health and Environmental • Oversee the maintenance of safety and sanitation standards for the facility to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. • Oversee and sustain a safe, clean working environment at all times, including maintaining all equipment in good working condition, by keeping warehouse clean and orderly. • Ensure the site complies with all safety & environmental practices. • Ensure the site complies with all FDA/USDA rules, procedures, and work practices.
 
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years related work experience in effectively managing in a warehouse environment with high performance teams.
 
 
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience in various leadership positions.
• Demonstrated ability to be a change agent.
• Experience managing complexities of a large operation (Safety, Maintenance, Diverse Employee Populations, Quality, Environment, etc.).
• 3-5 years minimum experience in managing a large, diverse group of people.
• Preferably in a non-union environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills required, including facilitating, conflict management, change management, and the ability to work across levels and functions.
• Strong collaborative and pro-active communications skills.
• Strong goal setting and people management skills (discipline, recognition, incentives, etc.).
• Leadership skill must be very strong and proven.

 

Salary: $114,145.20 to $171,243.00 per year

 

Bonus Eligibility: Yes


The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
