Position Summary:

The Technical Application Group (TAG) Technician has responsibility for supporting product development activities essential to the Innovation and Renovation portfolio of the Beverage Division. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in Food Science and previous laboratory/bench top/factory experience. The TAG Technician should be responsible with a high level of integrity, able to follow protocols and instructions and a team player that shares the team’s passion for driving Innovation with the highest quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to organize work are required.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Product Development Support

  • Assist in bench top/pilot plant formulation under TAG Specialist guidance
  • Lead shelf-life studies including sample preparation, tasting coordination, reporting, and archiving
  • Coordinate sample collection and shipment for marketing requests like photo shoots and food shows
  • Help with Technical Acceptance process by preparing samples and documentation, and coordinating shipments
  • Prepare samples for Consumer Testing location if required

Receiving/Shipping of Samples

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments promptly with Specialists & NDC staff
  • Organize and maintain non-NDC storage areas for samples

Administrative:

  • Assist TAG Specialist with material ordering for trials
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and stock of raw materials

 

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Development Support

- Support Innovation and Renovation by coordinating and leading competitor analysis activities – panels, washouts, general data collection, etc…  

- Support Innovation and Renovation through collaboration with TAG Specialist on the creation of “IN/OUT” product specifications to be provided to factories, ensuring consistency and quality

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

EXPERIENCE:
- Some laboratory or factory experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Technical training in scientific or food-related field - Food science or technology background will be a plus 

 

SKILLS:
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail. 

- Must be able to handle multiple assignments successfully.
- Must be precise and accurate, well organized worker with excellent time management.
- Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Good mathematical (basic statistical skills highly desirable), problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Computer literate and proficient user of Word Processing/Spreadsheet/Databases applications.
- Self-starter – possess strong initiative, professional, team player attitude.
- Precise and conscientious worker. 
- Well developed interpersonal skills. 
- Sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently.
