Position Summary
As a Brand Experience and Development Associate, you will develop strategy (up to 18 months) and execute annual commercialization plans to drive profitable growth and operational excellence for assigned brands. You’ll leverage insights to optimize performance, lead innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance) to ensure business plan execution.
Key Responsibilities
Consumer & Customer Intimacy
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer demographics, behaviors, and motivations through data and research.
- Identify and validate consumer insights to drive relevant communications.
- Analyze data to generate actionable insights for business decisions.
- Transform insights into marketing innovation, brand building, and retail programs.
Business Planning
- Own P&L to ensure revenue, profit, market share, and brand health KPIs are met.
- Lead monthly operating processes, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Manage consumer marketing budgets efficiently.
- Develop strategic revenue management strategies (pricing, promotions, pack architecture).
- Support long-term sourcing, procurement, and manufacturing strategies.
- Drive brand innovation, including partnerships and licensing.
Brand and Product Experience
- Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to develop marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and purchase frequency.
- Ensure brand identity and activations are culturally relevant.
- Activate brand’s nutrition, health, and wellness propositions in communications.
Commercial Excellence
- Partner with Sales and Customers to execute strategies in an omni-channel environment.
- Analyze and optimize promotional programs.
- Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans (product, price, place, promotion).
- Translate strategic plans into actionable commercial tactics.
Key Activities & Experience
- Product brand/marketing communications, media strategy, insights & analytics, eCommerce, agency management.
- Category, brand, and consumer strategy development.
- Product innovation, portfolio management, channel strategy, sustainability, and design strategy.
- Experience with IRI or Nielsen data is strongly recommended.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing or brand management.
- Strong negotiation, relationship building, and analytical skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and agency partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
