POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Sr Manager, Demand Planning, the Demand Planning Manager is responsible for accurate demand planning forecasts for Coffee & Beverage division. The Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to demand planning leads and planners on their team in order to develop aligned sales and operational forecasts for their respective scope.
The Demand Planning Manager interacts with and influences key stakeholders across the entire end-to-end operations team, as well as the Process & Optimization Manager. The manager will collaborate regularly with the Sr. Manager Demand and Supply for their supported divisions to ensure communication and understanding of the forecast, along with gaining insights coming from the respective divisions. This role is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the accuracy of the forecast and identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of Leads and Demand Planners to ensure career development is prioritized and focused on functional competency improvements.
· Responsible for succession planning, and actively engaged in HR Lifecycle activities with the team.
· Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results
· Leads and champions demand planning forecasting strategies and efforts that increase efficiency, profitability, and sustain business unit growth. Develop relationships with cross-functional Business Unit partners and appropriate supply chain functions to ensure cohesive forecasting and business unit strategies.
· Leads and partners with the Process & Optimization Managers to drive efficiencies and standardization across all of NUSA Demand Planning
· Develops and establishes processes to measure and report results of key performance metrics, holds team accountable to ensure accuracy of demand forecast
· Plans and manages the demand planning team while developing processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
· Communicates opportunities and risks to business on a proactive basis.
· Ensures the forecast is a collaborative process by developing appropriate interface/input processes with Marketing and Category, Market Planning and Customer Business Development (Sales) teams on an on-going basis as well as part of the monthly Sales & Operating Planning Process (S&OP).
· Leads and champions the refinement and improvement of demand planning processes and systems to support business requirements, driving improved forecast efficiency and effectiveness – resulting in increased forecast accuracy and enhanced customer service levels.
· Provides demand planning support and expertise for key strategic business unit and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Supply Chain Management field, Industrial Engineering or Business-related field
• Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data, problem solve and develop solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, organizational and time-management abilities, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 8+ years Production Planning, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations experience.
• Previous people leadership preferred
SKILLS:
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel software
• Demonstrated expertise in Advanced Analytics
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and manage key stakeholders
• Able to work in an empowered team environment
• Must have excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work-groups
• Demonstrated taking initiative and taking prompt, self-directed action to accomplish KPI objectives
