Position Summary

At Nestle we believe that Consumer Insights augmented by Advanced Analytics provides us a competitive edge to deliver exceptional value to our consumers and retail partners. This is a critical leadership position within the Insights organization. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Predictive analytics, such as: demand forecasting, prioritization of trends, market potential for new products and business models
  • Optimization solutions, such as: marketing mix spend, sales lift studies (incl. e-commerce), price elasticities and cross-elasticities, measurement of competitive performance and its drivers
  • Thought leadership, such as: applying augmented decision making with ML/AI, creative use of internal and external data sources with pragmatic curiosity
  • Mobilize the team: inspire, enable and empower an experienced team of 6+ individuals as well as external vendors to continuously drive business impact
  • Influence senior management: ability to summarize and tell story to a senior audience (Divisional Presidents, C-suite) with clear recommendations and best path forward
  • Partner with other functions: including other Insights leaders (consumer and shopper), Corporate Strategy, Finance, Digital Analytics
  • Prioritize and Sequence competing priorities for team, vendors and budget
  • Build strategies focused on Organic Growth mapping and execution
  • Link analytics work insights to strategy and financial decisions

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Business or related studies required
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics or Business; Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Math, or Economics preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of business analytic experience in a consumer packaged goods company (or working as a consultant for the industry)
  • 4+ years of team leadership experience, managing and inspiring teams as well as fostering cross-functional relationships across the business
  • Proven track record of independently managing analytics in a high performance culture
  • Candidate must possess a strong drive for results
