The Director, Marketing Ecosystems is core to Nestle’s broader transformation toward world-class modern marketing capabilities. This role is responsible for the strategy, management and activation of enabling marketing technology (including both consumer and product data management systems). This role will push to transform Nestle’s data-driven marketing capabilities, optimize marketing and commercial data operations and provide oversight for consent & privacy. 

 

Key to success will be building a comprehensive, rationalized marketing technology & data strategy and operation that revolutionizes how Nestle can go to market - ensuring brand marketing and eComm teams can leverage data and technology to achieve their objectives. This role will own the vision, strategy, and execution towards a closed-loop data-driven ecosystem across the consumer journey via development of MarTech, consumer and product data strategies, activation through journey orchestration and enablement of measurement & optimization.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the NUSA FRM to drive overall tech strategy roadmap for both consumer and product ecosystems
  • Drive the collective data strategy for NUSA including consumer, marketing and product data
  • Implement solutions to enable delivery of highly personalized content at scale to increase conversion throughout the marketing funnel
  • Partner with the NUSA FRM to drive overall tech strategy roadmap for both consumer and product ecosystems
  • Point of contact with Global counterparts across ecosystems in support of eComm, Design, Consumer Marketing
  • Lead the 1PD strategy in support of personalized marketing across digital channels
  • Partner with eComm team to ensure the appropriate flow of content and data to maximize performance
  • Direct the efforts of Global Shared Services (IMS) and domestic agencies (MCD, NEO, Hogarth) in support of domestic marketing activities
  • Drive the analytics and testing plans for owned channels and communications in partnership with Digital Analytics team
  • Own responsibility for innovation within digital CX in partnership with division marketing, IT and Digital Innovation teams
  • Responsible for oversight of data privacy and protection for 1PD collection, storage and deployment
  • Oversees the management for budget deployed on behalf of divisions in support of both PI and Marketing Ecosystems
  • Manage the overall prioritization process for IT sprints related to marketing systems
  • Will lead the evolution of key systems in partnership with Global including the Content Hub and SAP Labeling systems

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Math, Computer Science or related field
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of experience with marketing technology and data
  • 7+ years of experience leading a team
  • Expert knowledge in 1st party data collection and management and data taxonomy design
  • Experience in data onboarding, identity resolution, and clean rooms
  • Expert in MarTech tools and solutions, including customer data platforms (CDP), voice of customer (VOC), social listening, email service providers (ESP), marketing automation, personalization engines, content / experience management, journey orchestration tools, and more
  • Deep understanding of leveraging data to drive personalized communications and experiences
  • Hands-on experience with customer-level event and attribute data for audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement
  • Expert knowledge of website operations, UX, content management and optimization including eCommerce
  • Deep knowledge of digital analytics and social listening
  • Knowledge of customer privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) and industry changes (iOS14, cookie deprecation) 
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining complex marketing technology stacks.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on complex situations or problem sets.
  • Inspiring leader who is not afraid to innovate and growth hack to provide value to the business.
  • Demonstrated experience working across marketing functions, collaboratively with sales, sales operations, and customer success.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and ensure high quality deliverables with high attention to detail.
  • Significant previous experience in matrixed organizations, with an understanding of embedded / central structures
