The E-Commerce Salsify Syndication Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution, governance, and optimization of product content syndication across Nestlé USA's digital commerce ecosystem. This role ensures accurate, timely, and retailer-compliant delivery of product information, digital assets, and enhanced content from Salsify to a broad network of retailers, marketplaces, and content service providers.
As a key member of the Digital Shelf Capabilities team, the Syndication Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for retailer syndication, channel onboarding, content readiness, issue resolution, and syndication performance monitoring. The role partners closely with Account Teams, Marketing, Product Information, Legal, Regulatory, IT, agency partners, and external vendors to drive best-in-class digital shelf execution and support Nestlé's digital-first operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Syndication Execution & Channel Management

- Manage and execute product content syndication across 90+ retailer, marketplace, and content service provider channels.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize syndication connections within Salsify, including direct retailer integrations, Syndigo connections, open catalogs, exports, and custom delivery methods.
- Ensure product content, images, attributes, and enhanced content are delivered accurately and on schedule according to retailer-specific requirements.
- Support onboarding new retailer connections, including channel configuration, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
- Maintain retailer distribution and assortment mappings to ensure appropriate content delivery across channels.
Content Readiness, Quality & Compliance

- Validate item readiness prior to syndication by ensuring required attributes, assets, and content meet retailer and Nestlé standards.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and ongoing audits to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and compliance issues.
- Monitor retailer-specific requirements, content standards, taxonomy changes, and submission guidelines.
- Partner with Product Information and Content teams to resolve upstream data and content issues before syndication.
Retailer Optimization & Digital Shelf Excellence

- Optimize syndicated content to maximize product discoverability, conversion, and digital shelf performance.
- Apply retailer-specific rules related to titles, descriptions, attributes, images, A+ content, taxonomy, and content hierarchy.
- Monitor syndication of outcomes, retailer rejections, approval of workflows, and publication timelines.
- Partner with Account Teams to support retailer audits and content improvement initiatives.
Automation, Data Management & Process Improvement

- Support data mapping, transformation, inheritance logic, retailer arrays, catalog management, and automated syndication workflows.
- Leverage Salsify automation, governance capabilities, and workflow tools to improve scalability, reduce manual effort, and enhance data quality.
- Identify and implement process improvements that accelerate speed-to-shelf and increase operational efficiency.
- Partner with IT, vendor partners, and Digital Shelf leadership to support new capabilities, integrations, and system enhancements.
Troubleshooting & Operational Support

- Serve as the primary point of contact for syndication-related issues, including failed deliveries, retailer rejections, content discrepancies, and system integration challenges.
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive resolution through collaboration with internal stakeholders, retailer contacts, Salsify support, and vendor partners.
- Track, prioritize, and resolve syndication issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Maintain operational reporting and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Documentation, Governance & Training

- Develop and maintain documentation for retailer requirements, onboarding procedures, syndication of workflows, troubleshooting processes, and best practices.
- Contribute to standard operating procedures, governance frameworks, and Digital Shelf ways of working.
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on syndication processes, retailer capabilities, and Salsify best practices.
- Stay current on Salsify platform enhancements, retailer capability changes, and industry trends related to Product Experience Management (PXM).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Information Systems, Supply Chain, eCommerce, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with Salsify, Product Information Management (PIM), Product Experience Management (PXM), or digital content syndication platforms.
- Experience supporting eCommerce, Digital Shelf, Product Information, Content Operations, or Syndication programs within a CPG, retail, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing retailer-specific content requirements and syndication processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Instacart, Costco, or Sam's Club.
- Experience with Syndigo, GDSN, Product Information Management systems, or master data governance processes.
- Familiarity with product master data, UPCs, packaging hierarchies, retailer taxonomies, and product content workflows.
- Knowledge of API integrations, automated content delivery, FTP processes, or data transformation logic.
- Experience with content quality scoring, readiness reporting, compliance audits, and digital shelf analytics.
- Project management or process improvement experience.
Salary: $82,402.56 to $115,846.40 per year
