POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Internal Communications plays a key role in activating the cultural transformation Nestlé USA needs to accelerate growth and win in the market. This role supports the Sr. Communications Manager in developing engaging and strategic communications for our operations groups, inclusive of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement. It offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the development and implementation of innovative communications strategies that will transform how we connect with our frontline employees across the US. This role sits on the Nestlé USA internal communications team, and within the Corporate Communication team.
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead, develop and execute strategic internal communications programs that align with the business priorities and shapes employee engagement and culture.
- Execute quarterly town hall meetings and other regular communications, to ensure visibility to performance, progress and purpose.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the effectiveness of communication to frontline teams, ensuring messages are specifically tailored and impactful for their channels.
- Integrate communication efforts across various platforms to create a cohesive and consistent message, leveraging innovative approaches for accessibility and engagement.
- Develop creative content such as videos, social assets and more to enhance communication efforts and engage employees effectively.
- Manage an Editorial Calendar
- Collaborate with the HR business partners on communications related to organizational structure, change initiatives and culture activation
- Draft communications including organizational announcements, presentations, messages, talking points, emails, speeches, etc.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- PR Agency preferred or experience with matrixed organizations
- Experience in reaching frontline audiences is preferred.
- Ideal candidate has experience with content creation (i.e. video, social assets, PowerPoint etc.)
SKILLS:
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively tailor and simplify messages to different audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to think strategically end-to-end, provide insights from various viewpoints.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to quickly and confidently problem solve.
- Initiates improvements and finds efficient, innovative solutions.
- Deals well with ambiguity.
