POSITION SUMMARY:
The consultant of Advanced Analytics supporting the Demand Planning function is responsible for driving the effective utilization of advanced analytics techniques and tools within the demand planning function across the organization. They work closely with the Advanced Analytics Supply Chain team in NUSA, collaborating to enhance analytical capabilities and promote excellence within the demand planning function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Data Analysis and Modeling: Analyze large datasets, including historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior, to identify patterns, correlations, and key drivers of demand. Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and forecasting techniques to predict future demand accurately.
• Demand Forecasting and Planning: Collaborate with the demand planning team to generate demand forecasts at various levels of granularity. Continuously monitor and evaluate forecast accuracy, identify areas for improvement, and recommend adjustments to planning parameters and models back to the Advanced Analytics team.
• Advanced Analytics Solutions: Design and develop advanced analytics solutions and tools that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of demand planning processes. Implement automation and optimization techniques to streamline forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment processes.
• Insights and Reporting: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis and modeling to improve demand planning strategies and optimize inventory levels. Collaborate back with the Sr. Analyst of Reporting to ensure proper analysis can be presented back to key stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights. Work closely with the demand planning team to understand their requirements, provide analytical support, and align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in advanced analytics, demand planning methodologies, and industry best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, propose innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning function.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to junior analysts and demand planning teams on advanced analytics techniques, tools, and methodologies. Share knowledge and best practices to build analytical capabilities within the organization.
REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, organizational and time-management abilities, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on tight deadlines and delegate accordingly
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 5+ years Demand Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations experience.
SKILLS:
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel software
• Demonstrated expertise with large enterprise business and planning systems and ERP environments such as SAP, BW, Business Objects, APO, and OMP.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of demand planning methodologies, statistical forecasting techniques, and inventory management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and manage key stakeholders
• Able to work in an empowered team environment
• Must have excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work-groups
• Demonstrated taking initiative and taking prompt, self-directed action to accomplish process and tool improvements to enable functional objectives.
