Position Summary


The Learning and Development Consultant (Instructional Designer) role will drive the design, development and implementation of e-learning, classroom and technology-based learning solutions, as well as the creation of tools and systems supporting the mission of the Learning & Organization Development group. This position ensures the appropriate use of technology and instructional design principles in meeting the needs of the groups supported by the Learning Technology team. This position will also lead efforts driving the automation of L&OD activities across the company thereby, challenging “classroom delivery” in exchange for web-based solutions whenever possible. 
 

Responsibilities:

•    Design, create & maintain learning solutions for the Nestlé L&OD group, including: core learning materials/curriculum for a specific functional or operating company groups, to include: core learning materials and curriculum, identification of appropriate 70-20-10 activities, and delivery of eLearning solutions, and building learning support tools.
•    Works with course developers one on one and with functional training groups, providing instructional design guidance in designing, creating, and reviewing courses and websites.
•    Assesses the L&OD course development needs and conducts needs and audience analysis and develops and maintains project plan(s) to create & execute L&OD solutions.
•    Serves as a liaison with the other development groups and creates graphics, videos, and learning objects.
•    Research learning technology solutions and evaluating the adoption of technology into Nestlé and resolves problems with course content and support technology.
•    Creates courses in a variety of formats, including: Virtual learning, eLearning, facilitated classroom training and blended learning platforms.
•    Partner with Corporate L&OD team to ensure that all course curriculum is available on-line and incorporated into the LMS tracking systems.
•    Design or collaborate with instructional designers (internal or external) to design and create course content, as needed.
•    Complete additional duties or projects as assigned by their direct Manager. 
 

Requirements: 
 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Cognitive Psychology, HR or in a related field required; Master’s degree in related areas highly desired. 
•    3+ years of relevant work experience with Instructional Design application in a Corporate setting. 
•    Experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP, Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360 required. 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multi-task. 
•    Must have excellent organizational, project management, problem solving and analytical skills. 
•    Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to express complex technical concepts. 
•    Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams, executing projects from vision to implementation; Must also possess strong stakeholder management skills.
•    Must have sound knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of consumer trust and confidence.
