Learning & Development Manager - Digital Fluency

Position Summary:

Nestlé USA is seeking an experienced, holistic thinker who is an intellectually curious and future-focused Learning professional with expertise in digital fluency to join our U.S. Learning and Development team. This position will procure, develop, and implement training and performance improvement solutions to improve digital capabilities for all employees throughout the organization. This position will work closely with organizational leaders and cross-functional partners to continuously identify and help implement industry-leading practices. Through partnership with our digital team, business leaders, HR generalists and other groups, this position will analyze needs, then purchase, design, develop, implement, and evaluate both instructional and non-instruction performance solutions which enhance digital skills and capabilities.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Learning Strategy for Digital Fluency: Partner with Digital Leadership team to evolve digital fluency 2-year strategy that incorporates Nestle USA’s overall organization needs.
  • Create Learning Implementation Plan: Partner with key stakeholder groups, including our digital team, to develop an implementation plan advances digital fluency on a large scale for all functions with Nestle USA.  
  • Project Manage Strategy and Implementation Plans: Oversee end-to-end implementation of digital fluency learning initiatives with a strong emphasis on detailed project management. This includes developing comprehensive project plans, allocating resources effectively, mitigating risks, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in Digital Learning: Explore and implement new and innovative approaches, such as gamification, microlearning, simulations, and interactive e-learning platforms, to create dynamic and immersive learning experiences that enhance digital fluency across the organization.
  • Broker External Engagements to Amplify Strategy: Proactively identify and collaborate with external resources, such as industry experts, consultants, and training providers, to bring in specialized knowledge and expertise to support the organization's digital fluency initiatives. This includes researching and evaluating potential partners, and managing relationships to ensure the organization has access to the most relevant and effective external resources for enhancing digital skills and capabilities internally.
  • Facilitate Training Sessions: Leverage a wide range of learning modalities and assets to cater to different learning preferences and maximize engagement and effectiveness. This includes designing and delivering in-person facilitation sessions, virtual training sessions, and asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Partner with Corporate L&D & Learning Council team:  ensure course curriculum is available on-line and incorporated into the LMS tracking systems. Partner with Functional and Corporate L&D teams to identify and align learning solutions with common needs. Assess and audit the efficiency of learning and development initiatives against predefined metrics. 
  • Gap Analysis Engagements: Participate in leadership discussions / decisions related to competency identification and solutions to close digital proficiency gaps, including talent assessments and talent development of HR resources.
  • Budget Management: Lead learning projects on time and within budget. 

 

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Knowledgeable of AI technologies, training technologies, and virtual reality training
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, training and development, organization development, or a related field required. 
  • MS/MA/MBA is preferred. 
  • Position requires up to 15% travel. 
  • Helpful certifications include: Project Management, Digital Fluency/Literacy, Learning and Development, Curriculum Design

 

Experience:

  • Experience implementing Digital Fluency strategy at large company
  • 5+ years in Learning and Development or related role with emphasis on digital fluency and digital capability building, working across all organization levels. 

 

Skills:

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering digital fluency training programs and initiatives  
  • Experience in assessing digital fluency needs and developing targeted solutions  
  • Strong interest in digital trends, AI, machine learning, and the future of digital capabilities 
  • Outstanding facilitation and course design skills utilizing Instructional System Design process 
  • Outstanding EQ and excellent stakeholder management 
  • Ability to successfully deploy and implement large-scale projects 
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross functional teams 
  • Strong organizational and/or project management skills required 
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex concepts in business terms 
  • Ability to work well on cross functional project teams while executing a large-scale project from vision through implementation 
  • Demonstrates ability to translate complex concepts into simple process flows 
  • Proven strategic and innovative thinking skills • Strong business acumen 
  • Ability to conceptualize creative solutions, document them, and present/sell them to senior management 
  • Ability to take calculated risks effectively to forward the learning agenda 
  • Leads in a scalable way and is to demonstrate a sense of scrappiness or roll up your sleeves attitude when needed 
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence 
  • Strong interpersonal skills (i.e., listening, counseling and coaching, negotiation skills) 
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Suite
