Position Summary:

As a Learning & Development Specialist, you play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of transformative learning experiences within our organization. Collaborating with stakeholders, you ensure the seamless execution of learning initiatives by providing learning management system (LMS) administration, program management, and logistical support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including making courses available, scheduling, tracking completion, and maintaining employee transcripts.
  • Troubleshoot learner issues, including course functionality, completion status, and transcript issues, and identify the best resolution.
  • Support the integration of new functionality within the LMS, in alignment with global standards.
  • Advise clients on LMS usage and recommend solutions to achieve learning objectives.
  • Prepare and share learning metrics with clients and recommend changes to programs and program delivery.
  • Build deployment/implementation plans to meet launch dates, incorporating time for testing and validation.
  • Respond to legal, governmental, or audit requests for training-related information in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Instruct and educate other admins on LMS best practices and data standards.
  • Translate clients' business requirements into learning programs delivered through the LMS.
  • Maintain complete records of event transactions, collaterals, and materials.
  • Coordinate logistical requirements for events, such as registration, venue reservation, food & beverage selection, audiovisual coordination, and transportation.
  • Provide support for event setup, management, and breakdown, including prepping materials, setting up classrooms, and coordinating with AV and facilities.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or related experience and training.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with an industry-standard LMS supporting a corporate learning function (preferably Cornerstone OnDemand).
  • Some travel, remote work, and off-hours work may be required (less than 10%).

 

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of LMS functionality, preferably Cornerstone OnDemand.
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), Adobe Connect, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Project management skills for large tasks or small projects.
  • Strong understanding of building reports for clients in an easily understood format.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with sound decision-making and judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with clients and other key partners.
