As a member of our Corporate Reporting team, you will lead a reporting team that prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to be submitted to the Parent company (Nestlé SA). Further, you will act as single point of contact for communication to the Group Reporting Team as well as division stakeholders. In addition, key responsibilities will include liaising with stakeholders to ensure first-time quality reporting.
You will be responsible for continuous improvement of the team ways of working utilizing new systems solutions to improve efficiency, promoting first time quality and proactive engagement with stakeholders in ensuring timely submission of such reports. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes to drive our organization's success. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Own the management, review, and preparation of financial reporting packages – including P&L, balance sheet, working capital, cash flows, and financial schedules that form part of the comprehensive financial statements for various reporting units for Group Reporting.
- Respond and coordinates with other stakeholders on the requests from external auditors to their satisfaction. Reporting unit includes multiple operating companies: Nestlé USA, Nestlé Health Science, and recently acquired businesses.
- Work with Nestlé SA (Global Parent) Group Accounting & Reporting teams to enhance and implement new reporting systems.
- Support business teams and various functions (Tax, Legal, Treasury, Supply Chain, etc.) for all technical accounting guidance and implementation of any new guidelines & standards to ensure proper reporting in packages.
- Provide support for all ad-hoc projects, specifically with system implementations and integrations, deconsolidation or other transaction-related activity, such as mergers and acquisitions.
- Own the management, review, and enforcement of PEC deadlines with the IBS team to achieve a two-day close
- Lead coordination of tasks with multiple stakeholders, including GAR, and the IBS team
- Manage the investigating and resolution of issues that challenge the integrity of the close, coordinating with the business, Finance Master Data and / or IT teams as necessary
- Partner with the various teams / stakeholders to determine root cause and corrective action resolutions for any issues identified in close

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- System implementation or project experience preferred
- 7+ years of sustainable high performance in Finance and Technical Accounting required, including a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Corporate Reporting and / or Public Accounting Firms with GAAP or IFRS requirements
- 3 years of people management experience required
- Proficiency in MS applications and an ERP system, SAP preferred
- Excellent communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with a focus on documentation, automation, and data integrity
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Passion for solving complex problems and generating cross-functional solutions
- Desire to develop digital solutions, with expertise in data awareness, visualization, communication, and business partnering
