Position Summary
Nestle USA is seeking a highly motivated Business Model Innovation Programs Manager to partner with innovation, commercial and cross-functional teams to discover insights, develop market and business hypotheses, build prototypes and experiments, and validate assumptions through piloting/partnering with target customers, leading to commercializing breakthrough new growth avenues that deliver incremental sources of long-term growth
Strategy, Insight, and Ideation
- Understand market dynamics competitive activity, key jobs-to-be-done, & whitespace opportunities in Personalized Nutrition to identify and analyze disruption opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions at Nestle USA, Nestle Health Science, and global teams to build a Personalized Nutrition strategy that will articulate business model innovation pipeline for next 3-5 years.
- Develop the economic/business model and craft the investment thesis
- Develop pitch decks to socialize the business plan with NUSA executives and BU sponsors
- Own the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables
Commercialization and In-Market Driver
- Develop implementation plans, with concrete activities and success indicators, to deliver against identified strategies
- Scope design strategy and design research engagements to address a business need
- Lead synthesis of research, developing engaging insights, narratives and strategic frameworks
- Collaborate with commercial teams, consumer insights and R&D to establish the strategy & execution
- Scout, identify, and pilot new capabilities in support of driving win-win solutions for NUSA and external partners
- Be hands-on and lead early-on experimentation and validation of new opportunities
- Facilitate brainstorming, customer co-creation workshops, sprints, and ideation workshops to create and evaluate new and innovative business models.
- Accelerate the development and testing of new, innovative solutions through visualizations, prototypes, and Minimally Viable Products (MVP's)
Communications and Culture Enabler
- Work around constraints and barriers with a “what if” and “why should we” mind-set to synthesize possible solutions and help incubate
- Work closely with functions across the value chain, including but not exclusively with the Digital Acceleration Team, Supply Chain, Technical and Manufacturing, and Sales functions
- Deploy a proactive mindset and attitude to establish relationships and collaborate across the Personalized Nutrition space and the larger Nestle ecosystem to identify opportunities for disruptive innovation
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and functions as a knowledge base and resource for strategy, commercial and innovation teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ Years’ Experience
- 5+ years min experience in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and/or Venture Investment
- Experience working in an innovation and/or strategy role in a large organization and/or in a human centered design-thinking innovation team
- Managed business development partnerships with external partners, identifying clear joint value propositions, business case development, and commercialization for innovation initiatives
- Proven track record of taking ideas all the way from concept to product launch through to market traction
- Experience having worked in Nutrition preferred
- Project management experience
- Has thrived with ambiguity and uncertainty in an entrepreneurial setting and has managed rapid change
- Proven results track record
