Manager Change Management

POSITION SUMMARY:  
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Project Management, and is responsible for developing and implementing Change Management strategies and activities to mobilize and engage stakeholders for prioritized projects within Nestlé in the US HR project portfolio. This role requires building credibility and strong relationships with business and HR stakeholders across Operating Companies (OpCos). By leveraging coaching techniques, the role will support stakeholders in effectively navigating change. Additionally, it requires collaboration with HR Project Managers to align efforts across various Nestle's Operating Companies (OpCos). 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Develop and drive the Change Management strategy and plan across the dimensions of Change Management (i.e., Stakeholder Engagement, Change Impact Assessment, Change Networks, etc.) for assigned US HR portfolio projects, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective plans for audience engagement and goal alignment, ensuring that Change Management strategies are tailored to the audience, aligned with goals, and feasible for implementation
  • Work with project teams and cross-functional stakeholders to foster engagement and drive adoption
  • Ensure effective coordination between Operating Companies (OpCos) by facilitating regular communication, aligning project goals and timelines, and promoting collaboration across different teams
  • Define and monitor Change Management success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) by establishing clear metrics to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives. This includes setting specific goals, tracking progress through regular assessments, and analyzing data to ensure that the change management strategies are achieving the desired outcomes
  • Organize workshops and training sessions, facilitate discussions for improvement, and maintain a repository of best practices and lessons learned for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruptions
  • Provide coaching and support to project teams to enhance their Change Management capabilities and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Align change management strategies with technological changes and digital transformation efforts within the organization

 

SKILLS:  

  • In-depth knowledge of Change Management methodologies and tools for projects of varying scope and scale
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly interpret data to understand the implications of various Change Management scenarios. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making, anticipate challenges, and develop effective strategies to manage change
  • Possess knowledge and curiosity to leverage digital tools, including AI, to support change management initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in active listening and powerful questioning techniques to uncover insights and drive meaningful conversations.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to organize time, information, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and respond to requests on a timely basis
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic, changing environment and create a human-centered vision for Change
  • Ability to distill highly complex and technical issues into simplified concepts to achieve common understanding and alignment across stakeholder groups
  • Skilled in anticipating future issues and addressing them proactively to minimize or prevent impact
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence others effectively
  • Willingness to partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive business results and meet deliverables
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies to define impactful Change Journeys for stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to work from a blank slate and inspire others
  • Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in a professional manner 


REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:  

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred emphasis in Change Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications, or Learning, or equivalent experience required; equivalent experience defined as at least 5 years of relevant, professional level working experience (see details below)
  • Formal training or certification in change management (e.g. Prosci Certification)
  • 7+ years of experience in a Change Management, Organizational Transformation, Strategic Communication or closely related role 
  • (Preferred but not required) Experience working with HR professionals
  • (Preferred but not required) Certification in coaching (e.g. Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certification, ICF Certification)
