Job Purpose: 
 

The People Analytics Specialist supports the US HR data strategy, data governance, and enterprise-wide reporting and dashboards on the People Analytics Data Strategy team. The Data Strategy teams' mission is to design and lead a portfolio of initiatives and policies to strengthen HR practices and processes in intaking accurate HR data, auditing data across core tools and processes, identifying and improving data management capability, driving localized data automation, accelerating digitization and maturing a data policy governance, all via a consultancy approach. This  role will be responsible for streamlining and simplifying data extraction out of the system and execute robust reporting and dashboard capabilities that tie to strategic priorities, decision making, and direction. This is a hybrid-based role and can be located either in Arlington, Virginia or Solon, Ohio. 
 

Responsibilities: 

•    Serve as a Market Data Specialist on HR data systems including but not limited to SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos, iLearn, Talent Performance Management System, etc. 
•    Design reports, dashboards, and scorecards and HR tools in Power Bi and Microsoft solutions to maintain data quality and data hygiene standards. 
•    Collect data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies.
•    Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis.
•    Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data.
•    Searching through large data sets for usable information.
•    Analyze and identify trends to assist in problem solving and resolution of issues.
•    Consult with HR on reporting and data best practices.
•    Provide solutions supporting HR projects from the HR data / metrics standpoint.
•    Support key Data Strategy team projects and process improvement initiatives.
•    Train others on how to use Data Strategy solutions.
•    Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by direct Manager. 
 

Requirements:
 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, IT, Engineering or in a related field required. 
•    1+ years of professional work experience in data analytics and reporting or in a related functional area required. 
•    Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Outlook/Access) required. 
•    Current or prior experience or knowledge using Power BI, Data Lakes and Data Lake Management is highly preferred. 
•    Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, stakeholder management and teamwork skills. 
•    Excellent analytics ability with a focus on analyzing, interpreting, and extracting insights from large amounts of data, and developing recommendations & improvement opportunities.
•    Must possess a strong technical competency and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. 
•    Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study.
•    Must have a strong initiative to identify and implement process improvements
•    Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. 
•    Proven experience using HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors, Workday or SAP is highly desired. 
•    Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and business.
