Position Summary

This role will be responsible for supporting advanced analytics initiatives for Nestle USA’s (NUSA) commercial-focused business (marketing, sales, pricing, etc.) through the creation of insights and reports, communicating the impact of the findings to the business in ways that are meaningful and actionable. The immediate focus of the analysts will be to support high profile analytics initiatives currently in flight at NUSA, synthesizing findings from predictive algorithms to identify opportunities for growth across the commercial business

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support generating insights and creating a digestible narrative around advanced analytics findings and determine implications for the business and leadership
  • Apply data visualization tools to transform insights and convey messages through straightforward data-based stories
  • Partner with commercial business functions to assess needs and determine the most effective means of facilitating real-time, informed decision making 
  • Work closely with the Business to determine key analytics requirements and design the minimum viable solutions for testing and validation
  • Own documentation development and delivery (requirements, project deliverables, solution support) and ensure consistent quality across portfolio of projects
  • Assist with determining opportunity to scale successful pilot/PoC tools
  • Collaborate with Enable Hub analysts and Enterprise Analytics data scientists to execute analytics projects
     

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a similar field
  • Proficiency with SQL/relational databases and Microsoft Excel
  • Working experience in commercial functions within consumer products companies strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in analyst role preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, how to develop a business case for an advanced analytics use case, and how and when to use advanced analytics (vs. descriptive analytics) for a business problem preferred
  • Basic understanding of advanced analytics model development, training, and testing preferred
  • Experience working with agile teams to rapidly deploy analytics solutions preferred

 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Ability to analyze complex analytics solutions to identify patterns and meaning and convey those insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong business knowledge of commercial functions (marketing, sales, pricing) of a consumer products organization
  • Working knowledge of data visualization techniques and use of latest visualization tools
  • Comfort working with large datasets and drawing connections across multiple data sources to derive actionable business insights
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and timelines
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
