As a Marketing Senior Associate of Innovation and Strategy, you will be responsible for developing, launching, incubating and scaling new products that will complement Nestlé USA’s core businesses and create incremental, sustainable growth in close collaboration with Sales, Consumer Insights, Finance, Product Development, and Manufacturing with both speed and agility. You will need to “think big and act small” by driving new to the world innovation in a lean environment. You should be comfortable in a startup environment owning tasks from strategy and data analysis to project management and execution in support of Nestlé USA’s New Business Ventures growth strategy. You are expected to roll up your sleeves to do whatever is necessary to push your new product initiative(s) forward with the scrappiness of an entrepreneur and the backing of Nestle resources. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Strategy, Insight, and Ideation

  • Analyze market data, category trends and consumer insights to identify new product opportunities. Develop relevant product concepts, with cross-brand application, meaningful product positioning, and priority product claims for new products. 
  • In collaboration with cross-functional and external experts, lead innovation projects in support of the platform innovation strategy such as new idea generation and validation, commercialization strategies and plans and channel- or customer-specific opportunities.  
  • Translate brand and customer strategy into data-driven plans-of-action that grow sales volume, market share, and brand awareness, then successfully achieve cross-functional alignment and execution to plan
  • Develop communications strategy, including development of 360-degree marketing support calendar and ensure timely execution; serve as point person/liaison with outside agencies

 

Commercialization and In-Market Driver

  • Lead commercialization and build business plans for new product opportunities in collaboration with sales, operations, product development and finance to launch quickly to test in-market, learn, and adapt to best deliver on the consumers’ needs and desires.
  • Drive end-to-end management and execution of marketing initiatives from brief through launch, working closely with marketing subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop retail marketing and promotional marketing tools for the product initiatives including in-store signage, sampling, coupons, displays and other consumer and shopper tactics
  • In collaboration with Sales, identify go-to-market strategies, select key retail partners to partner, and perform sell-in of product/solutions in collaboration with sales.
  • Blend art and science to guide brand decisions, with a strong understanding of business, consumer, culture, and trends.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all marketing activities (ROI, KPIs, etc.) and recommend future tactics based on conclusions

 

Internal Communications and Culture Enabler

  • Prepare, present and sell-in recommendations to senior management, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders to optimize product performance and deliver product platform expansion strategy.
  • Leads by example to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams supporting the brand to exceed high performance targets
  • Provide informed insight, learnings, and perspectives across innovation initiatives within the broader team

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong interest in innovation as growth driver (Innovation/Renovation experience preferred but not required) 
  • Has worked and flourished in entrepreneurial environment, work experience in a start-up as a founder or significant contributor is a plus
  • Proven results track record (High performer)
  • Extraordinary leadership skills
  • Strong General Management acumen
  • Minimum 3 years of product management experience

  • Bachelor degree and 5+ Years’ Experience 
  • Travel Requirements – 10-20%
