Position Overview:
The Nestlé USA Senior Events & Communications Specialist serves as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all recruiting events, including both in-person and virtual events hosted or attended by Nestlé Talent Acquisition as well as developing messaging for digital attraction through our internal and external media channels. As a member of our fast-paced talent acquisition team, you will help to define our events strategy, communications, marketing, objectives, and goals to fuel robust and diverse talent pipelines. In this role, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including candidates, external technology vendors, internal catering and IT specialists, university liaisons, HR business partners, Diversity and Inclusion experts, and hiring managers. Key attributes are the ability to influence especially amongst senior leadership as we leverage them for key events and the ability to collaborate across teams as this role works heavily across the entire organization. This role will be a hybrid opportunity located in either Solon, OH or Arlington, VA and report to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and Strategic Engagements.
Make Your Impact:
Strategic Engagements (70%)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy for the Nestlé USA early careers and larger recruiting team, encompassing event types (we will host and participate in), well-defined objectives, and measurable goals and KPI’s.
- Provide support to the early careers and team in planning and implementing a wide range of in-person and virtual events, such as information sessions, hiring events, career fairs, networking events, speaker series, and other related activities.
- Create and manage the strategic engagements meeting calendar, event timelines, agendas, flow of show, budget, and resource allocation for any large events
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for recruiting event logistics
- Serve as the point of contact for the Events Ambassador Toolkit, ensuring requests for event materials are processed on time as well as continued evolution and innovation around on campus events.
- Collaborate with recruitment marketing to design event collateral and marketing materials
- Develop event presentations to ensure effective distribution of content and achieve successful outcomes for events
- Developing a wide range of messaging that expresses our Employee Value Proposition and elevates our brand for specific talent segments, e.g., function/location
- Establishing and executing the digitalized recruitment marketing campaign strategy across core social media platforms to attract the target audience and build proactive pipelines of top diverse talent
- Evaluate and report on the return on investment (ROI) of recruiting events, utilizing surveys, synthesizing feedback, and implementing continuous improvements to the overall events strategy based on feedback and data analysis
Recruitment Marketing (30%)
- Developing messaging that expresses our Employee Value Proposition and elevates our brand for specific talent segments, i.e., Culture Day and program-specific branding/content creation for early careers and events, and testimonials and scripting for promo packages (DLS, fall/winter hiring, NSDW, etc.)
- Advancing Talent Acquisition digital attraction strategy by maintaining our We Are Nestlé Jobs channel, creating social media content, and analyzing performance data to drive and optimize usage
- Scheduling events and maintaining registration set up in Avature/CRM with monitoring and team updates
- Creation and distribution of a monthly new hire newsletter in Avature/CRM
- Maintaining Events Ambassador toolkit updates and new materials
- Early Careers Calendar updates for Corporate Communications – provide yearly calendar and heads up on major upcoming events/hiring season milestones
- Providing input and updates for TikTok content ideation, career website, video and graphic updates (e.g., National Intern Day and Summer Intern Challenge) in collaboration with Corporate Communications and Recruitment Marketing teams
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience planning large scale virtual and live corporate events
- Experience in a large national or global corporation preferred
- Proven ability in project management, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience managing key business relationships with the ability to apply a consultancy approach, effectively managing the expectations of business partners and vendors
- Demonstrates ability to craft compelling, emotional, and relevant messages for marketing and events
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to establish relationships with internal and external partners, build cross-functional partnerships and present to, interact with and influence senior executives
- Ability to set and track against realistic budgets
- Influence and enable results through others without formal authority
- Ability to build and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- SuccessFactors, Avature or similar CRM experience preferred; Event platform experience preferred
- Willing to travel up to 20%
