Position Summary
This Senior Financial Analyst position is a Supply Chain Finance Co-Pilot role uniquely supporting both Transportation and Warehousing for our Nestle Waters Premium Beverage division.
This role will provide control and strategic financial management that includes the preparation of timely, accurate, and transparent reporting and the preparation of network scenario analysis, that yields actionable insights and recommendations to various stakeholders across the organization. Further, this role will look to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities as part of managing overall supply chain costs, while effectively communicating performance results and forecast changes to the businesses.
Across all responsibilities, this role will be a strategic partner to the Division Finance and Supply Chain teams and will partner closely with Warehousing, Transportation, Import Logistics, and Procurement to continuously assess and improve network strategies and optimize operating spend.
Primary Responsibilities

Lead regular business reviews with transportation and warehousing teams to assess operating performance across key measures, carrier performance and compliance, impact of volume trends on operating strategy and costs, and to identify potential areas for improved efficiency

Provide timely and accurate reporting of actual performance to key stakeholders, with clear insights to performance drivers and variances versus a dynamic forecast and historical trends

Continuously drive process improvement and expansion of insights available to key stakeholders
-
Support multiple project streams considering long-term network strategy or business changes with supply chain implications by providing cost benefit analysis, scenario cost comparisons, and risk assessment considerations

Drive with cross-functional partners the identification and execution of cost optimization opportunities; quantify potential savings and provide regular reporting of achievement vs opportunities

Manage month end close processes for P&L areas of responsibility

Lead quarterly forecasting process for P&L areas of responsibility with key inputs from functional partners and consistent quantification, tracking, and management of potential risks and opportunities

Assess network trends and changes, process challenges, and the broader supply chain environment for potential risks, to be quantified and regularly communicated

Create management presentations for business partners to effectively communicate the performance, key changes, and risk and opportunities to the business
Qualifications

BA/BS with major in Accounting, Finance or related
-
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
-
Advanced computer based analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Essbase/Smartview, SAP and B/W
-
Advanced financial acumen; thorough understanding of financial statement and profitability concepts
Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CMA, CFM, CCE, MBA

CPG/Food industry experience
-
Understanding of global accounting standards, including IFRS
Skills

Demonstrated critical thinking and strong analytical problem-solving skills; excellent ability to transform data into comprehensive and actionable insights

Highly skilled and adept with Excel and other data modeling

Thorough understanding of financial statement relationships (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) and profitability concepts and the demonstrated use of P&Ls to drive business decisions

Ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team; able to build key relationships with multiple functions
