Lead, develop and inspire a focused sales team of managers assigned to a specific customer or group of customers to accomplish desired business results by developing and activating the Customer Business Plan while aligning with the OMP, sales vision and Strategic Plan (including with a category first approach and join business planning.) Apply and align category strategy and to customer’s strategy and help remove obstacles. For Team Leaders that will manage specialized category teams, be conduit between POG Service and Category Managers – set agenda, priorities, reflect on SLA. Serve as a Sales Performance Coach and strong change leader to drive adoption of the NSO strategic direction.
Category Strategy: Product / brand category objectives
• Deliver category growth through effective selling and driving excellence in execution
• Ensure execution of Category strategies and support Customer category strategies through JBP and a Category First approach.
• Develop strategies to enter new categories and departments
Customer Strategy: Forecast accuracy, sales performance targets, meeting sales goals, segmentation / resource allocation, improving customer service
• Lead development of key selling strategies for customer or group of customers and effectively lead the team against these strategies
• Collaborate with Field Sales teams and customers to build relationships in new departments and categories
• Achieve annual sales and trade targets by supporting strong performance from all team members. This will be achieved through effective people coaching and leadership
• Promote proper coverage of categories in structure and resource allocation
• Develop and foster collaborative relationships with customer executive leadership
• Ensure that customer business plans and roadmaps are developed and in line with customer initiatives
Qualifications:
• 5+ Years experience in customer facing sales roles in CPG industry
• Ability to work in ambiguity and create direction
• Capacity to constantly pivot and reprioritize based on business needs
• Extensive experience managing cross functional teams and projects
• Experience working on small brands and emerging categories
• Ability to successfully influence the commercialization process from ideation to launch
• Working knowledge of Nestlé, Channel of trade and Customer base
• Experience in related sales roles (CAM, CSD, NROC)
• Strong oral and written communications, negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop people
• Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to drive business results
• Good knowledge of interrelationship of key functions and their key initiatives
(Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Technical and Globe & IS/IT)
• Knowledge of core Business Processes (Sales/Distribution, Customer
Planning and Managing, Financial Reporting, Training, HR Policies,
Traceability, Quality Fundamentals
• Knowledge of MBS and Integrated Commercial Planning process
• Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles, NiM Function
• SGDU/SBU Tools (Best Practices) and knowledge of Key Documents
(Blueprints, Nestle on the Move, etc.)
• Knowledge of Customer Best Practice, Market Intelligence,
• Category/Channel/ Shopper trends and shopper Insight into actionable ideas
