Position Summary:
This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing Sales advanced analytics strategy, working with internal business stakeholders to identify opportunities and connect with internal/external delivery partners to deliver solutions that drive growth and influence the commercial strategy and daily operations, through the use of data and advanced analytics tools.  

 

This role will collaborate closely with and report to the VP of Commercial Intelligence Hub to drive the future of the advanced analytics within the Nestlé Center for Demand Generation.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and analytics, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring a team of data analysts and advisors. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Role will manage a team of analysts and advisors responsible for generating advanced analytics demand and driving business alignment for inflight and future projects. The role will also be responsible to boost solution adoption by the Sales & Marketing organizations.  

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work closely with commercial business functions to assess needs and determine the most effective means of facilitating real-time, informed decision making
  • Develop and implement data science strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data science projects that drive business value.
  • Work with the Enterprise Analytics group (data scientists) to design and implement Demand Generation advanced analytics operating model and standardized processes to develop the advanced analytics demand pipeline and solution delivery.
  • Responsible for driving implementation, operationalization, and adoption of advanced analytics solutions within the sales team
  • Collaborate with commercial leaders to provide functional and commercial expertise to guide analytics activities addressing customers and consumers opportunities
  • Utilize insights to drive sales and make connections on implications for entire organization (finance, supply chain, etc.) to deliver value to the sales organization and ensure sales business needs are met 
  • Use all commercial assets to identify and prioritize opportunities for potential sales analytics solutions

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Self-starter with history of applying advanced analytics expertise to identify insights that get results
  • Passionate about solving the most critical business problems through data science and advanced analytics and comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to see the “big picture” and draw connections outside of immediate organization
  • Knowledge of how to identify and scope advanced analytics opportunities to meet business needs
  • Knowledge of process improvement and design methodologies
  • Project management and stakeholder management experience & expertise to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Must be able to shift priorities to meet rapidly evolving business needs

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree optional
  • Deep understanding of sales, marketing, or broader commercial functions, with 3-5 years’ experience leading teams in a consumer products organization preferred
  • Experience with advanced analytics and/or digital transformation projects preferred
  • Experience with Gen AI initiatives and solutions preferred
  • Experience managing delivery of distributed computing solutions preferred (Azure and Databricks environments strongly preferred)
  • Experience using various programming languages (R, Python, SQL) to develop and apply analytic solutions
  • Experience with Agile development preferred
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and senior leaders in advising on and delivering data analytics information and technology solutions to drive business value. 
  • Experience and understanding of a variety of analytical processes including but not limited to data governance, data integration quality and measurement 
  • Experience building a data & analytics organizational strategy and managing multifunctional teams of advanced data modelers, data architects, data scientists, etc
  • Experience consuming large data sets from multiple sources and implementing visualization capabilities leveraging mainstream, commercial software platforms 
  • Experience exploring, implementing, and deploying advanced capabilities, including cognitive technology, ML/AI, automation, and digital user engagement techniques  
  • A proven track record of developing actionable and profitable strategies that also drive business growth
