POSITION SUMMARY: The role of Sr. Specialist Expert Planner encompasses both tactical responsibilities and indirect team leadership. Key responsibilities include managing extended leave coverage within the Planning Organization, which encompasses Deployment, Network Logistics, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning. As a functional expert and primary point of contact for operations, the Sr. Specialist leads initiatives to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This individual will facilitate collaboration among team members to engage in problem-solving and develop solution-based recommendations. Furthermore, they will work together to identify and implement comprehensive best practices, integrating these into training and development standard operating procedures (SOPs). Additionally, the Sr. Specialist will drive the digital implementation of new systems, processes, and tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Motivate and inspire team members by creating a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Utilize extended coverage assignments to evaluate end to end processes across planning to collaboratively enhance best practices and develop process documentation.
• Work with other Sr. Specialist Expert Planners to identify opportunities across Planning functions to improve COF, Waste, Redeployment, and other financial and business KPIs.
• Champion implementation and support for digital solutions including new systems, processes and tools.
• Acts as the first point of contact for process issue resolution with Deployment, Network Logistics, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning.
• Provide support and input to help mitigate business-related risks where needed. Develop end-to-end mindset and decision-making capabilities on the teams they support.
• Identify system issues and report to Functional Development Network and/or corporate system owner.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to identify continuous improvement opportunities based on problem solving and root cause analysis
• Identify opportunities for system and analytical improvements to drive business results and drive implementation of improved ways of working.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain (e.g. Order Management, Distribution, Inventory Management, Transportation, Demand and Supply Planning, etc.) or related Order to Cash (O2C) area preferred
• Proven record in motivating team members and demonstrating strong leadership qualities. SKILLS:
• Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Strong ability to develop collaborative partnerships
• Excellent analytics ability with a focus on analyzing, interpreting, and extracting insights from large amounts of data and developing recommendations & improvement opportunities
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Advanced PC skills, particularly Excel and PowerBI
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
• Work independently to solve issues and take initiative
