Position Summary
Technical Applications Group Hybrid role, focusing on Project Management and Technical Packaging Development. Serve as the Project Manager and/or Technical Packaging Lead on project teams to deliver the innovation and renovation portfolio.
Primary Project Management Responsibilities
- Apply project management tools and skills to ensure the on-time launch and flawless execution of projects from concept to close.
- Lead the alignment of the strategy and approach for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing the project with key stakeholders.
- Preventive management of roadblocks and generation of risk mitigation plans.
- Build and manage the project schedule, define the critical path, track activities to ensure functional team members are meeting agreed-upon deadlines, generate and communicate status reports, and escalate critical issues.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings including kick-off meetings, project team meetings, risk assessments, financial reviews, lessons learned, post-launch reviews, and additional meetings as required.
- Provide transparency and communication on project status and risks to cross-functional team members and Project Management Lead.
- Responsible for the consistent application, execution, and continuous improvement of Nestlé's I&R processes and tools.
- Manage projects and their cross-functional teams through the established processes, including the stage gates. Primarily Low to Moderate complexity projects.
- Maintain and ensure data accuracy, deliverable completion, and documentation as specified by relevant policies and procedures across assigned projects.
- Meet established key performance indicators (KPIs) and other program metrics.
- Responsible for making and ensuring the implementation of process improvements.

Primary Technical Packaging Responsibilities
- Drive creative structural packaging development that delivers on consumer insights and key Brand attributes.
- Implement new packaging structures flawlessly to ensure the on-time launch of projects.
- Be the guardian of system standards, ensure compliance to specified requirements for imported products and domestically produced products.
- Provide technical expertise with packaging suppliers and where necessary participate in the selection of new suppliers.
- Maintain/Develop packaging specifications and packaging safety documentation.
- Provide technical support and packaging expertise to internal customers, including Marketing, Operations, QA, Engineering, Purchasing, Packaging Communications, and others.
- Responsible for performing packaging production qualification trials (materials and vendor selection) as well as shipping and handling tests. Review, evaluate and document result. Facilitate decision making with project teams.
- Emphasis on growing Nestle network by seeking and maintaining relationships globally.
- Is involved with packaging graphics; has input and approval responsibilities.
Requirements & Minimum Education Level
- Minimum BA/BS required, preferred BS in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or similar degree
- Travel: Minimal work travel, less than 10%
Experience
- 3 years of related work experience
