POSITION SUMMARY:
In this position, you will support the Marketing & Other General Expenses ("MOGE") lines of Nestle USA's P&L. As the Sr Analyst you will conduct timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to assist in the financial decision making within the organization. You’ll continually develop financial and technical skills and interacts with cross-functional teams at all levels throughout the organization. In this role you will exercise good judgment, stay focused on results, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
As the Sr Analyst you will be the "single point of contact" for MOGE cost center management to their assigned business units/leaders. You’ll consult with business leaders to define financial reporting/analysis needs, gather data, conduct research, and prepare analysis and reports as appropriate to fulfill the business need. As a Sr Analyst you will be responsible for completing all budget activities, including coordinating the annual budget development and monthly dynamic forecast projections. You will be responsible for performing the monthly closing activities in compliance with the Period End Close (PEG) process. In addition, you will support in the modernization of MOGE and alignment with the Future of Finance roadmap including the upgrade of Cost Center Planning and Reporting tools, simplification of processes, and greater focus on white collar optimization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform cost center management activities including:
- Determine annual budget assumptions & targets
- Consult with business leaders at all levels to define cost center needs
- Prepare dynamic forecast projections and submissions
- Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs budget and vs forecast) and prepare variance explanations
- Support in the modernization of MOGE including:
- Suggest and execute improvements on existing standardized reporting
- Recommend enhancements and implement new systems and processes to solve business problems
- Contribute in the development of knowledge transfer documentation
- Lead strategic project work, when applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree required; Finance or Accounting degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- General knowledge of the principles of cost accounting and activity-based costing
- Ability to perform variance analyses between actual costs and budgeted/planned
- Working knowledge of finance systems used by NUSA F&C, Essbase, and SAP/BW
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) including macros and VBA
- Familiarity with Power Bl, Power Apps, Power Automate, RPA
- Financial modeling skills
- Must be able to work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require
- Effectively manage competing priorities by choosing those deliverables that will have the highest impact on the performance results
- Communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal form, including presentation skills
- Influence business decisions with concrete financial support
- Proven experience in process improvement and implementation of new tools & systems
