Nestlé USA’s Corporate Decision Support (DS) Team is responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial analyses, and providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions across the entire business portfolio. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Expert to join our team in Arlington, VA and take ownership of building out our management reporting capabilities. As a Power BI Expert, the individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions that provide insightful and actionable reports for our management team. Expertise in data visualization, data modeling, and Power BI best practices will be crucial in delivering accurate and visually appealing reports that drive informed decision-making. The individual must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate across multiple functions throughout the organization, to promote alignment and drive results to meet or exceed business objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
  • Design and develop data models, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Create visually appealing and interactive reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to management.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Conduct regular data analysis and quality checks to identify and resolve any data discrepancies or issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage, report interpretation, and self-service analytics.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on management reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX formulas, and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality reports within established timelines.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security principles.
  • Relevant certifications in Power BI or data analytics are a plus
