Position Summary:

The Decision Support Senior Analyst (Corporate FP&A) is responsible for financial and business analyses / insights in Nestlé USA (NUSA). The role reports directly to the Decision Support Director and acts as the lead analyst on the Corporate MBS (long-term strategy) process as well as monthly Executive Leadership Reporting package.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead analyst on the corporate NUSA MBS (long-term strategy) process managing the E2E NUSA process governance and financial system (ATLAS) inputs: Update and communicate the MBS calendar, manage the financial templates, and perform timely and accurate roll ups to provide visibility to NUSA totals to the leadership team. 
  • Responsible for the MBS ATLAS management and reconciliation, supporting the Decision Support Director on MBS scenario planning, and coordination of integrating executive feedback into NUSA revisions.
  • Support the Decision Support Director in the preparation of monthly leadership presentations around business results, drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Perform variance analyses and ensure meaningful insight into drivers of monthly actuals and forecast changes for NUSA. Provide value-added commentary to support KPIs and financials published.
  • Work closely with Strategy team on Total NUSA portfolio roles and analyses
  • Support the Decision Support Director with monthly Dynamic Forecast submission to Nestlé S.A.
  • Manage monthly Innovation & Renovation reporting, and quarterly analyses and communications to Investor relations team
  • Support NUSA Corporate Decision Support initiatives and perform ad hoc requests for the Decision Support Director, as necessary

 

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar field
  • 4+ years prior experience in Accounting / Finance
  • Proficiency in English and language of the market (where applicable)

 

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of business environment, and good knowledge of NUSA product portfolio
  • Knowledge of Nestlé Accounting & Costing Standards and reporting standards/guidelines.
  • Good knowledge of business principles and standard methodologies to ensure sustainability of business and support continuous performance improvement
  • Working knowledge of finance systems used by NUSA F&C, incl. Oracle and SAP/BW
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, VBA preferred)
  • PowerBI experience preferred

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative as well as qualitative) including prior experience in variance analysis, data mining and root cause analysis
  • Solid networking skills to manage relationships with business partners
  • Capability to manage several priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong ability to optimize and facilitate the application of business processes
  • Ideal candidate is results focused, a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently and has a desire to make a difference
