POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior Financial Analyst in the "Value Capture Office" (VCO), you will provide financial support for key business transformation initiatives.  Within the VCO, you will support the development and maintenance of advanced financial models for business cases.  You will also be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis of project costs and benefits tracking.  This position plays a crucial role in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve business performance for business transformation efforts. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Build financial models for business transformation projects, as well as build thorough business cases for shared service organization initiatives

•Supports financial objectives throughout all strategic business initiatives – planning, budgeting, and executional oversight.

•Ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic partnerships.

•Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive the completion of business metrics and analytics to support the initiatives.

•Partner closely with Manager, Director, and potentially VP level colleagues

•Identify, develop and implement process improvements for timely aggregation and impact reporting through performance metrics and dashboards.

•Work with multiple stakeholders to devise Key Performance Metrics (KPIs), construct a flexible business model, and create reporting tools to measure value created for the business

•Financial reconciliation and analysis of business case vs latest estimates vs actual results.

•Identify operational business weaknesses and help improve or innovate new internal processes to keep the team as efficient as possible.

•Coordinate multiple deliverables and act as an ambassador across teams to effectively streamline the strategic vision to ensure execution.

•Participate in weekly meetings to track progress and impact to multiple business cases.

•Prepare for executive business reviews, and strategic planning cycles.

•Ensure all planning and operation deadlines are met without fail.

•Present results of analyses directly to senior executives through the creation and delivery of compelling and insightful presentations.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:   Expected to be able to work independently, with limited supervision on day to day tasks & responsibilities that are executed on a weekly and monthly periodic basis.  Expected to perform self-review of own work on a routine basis.

 

FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT:

Partnering with Business leaders to develop sounds financial business cases for strategic initiatives with thoroughly documented assumptions to enable monitoring versus actual results during and post implementation.  Demonstrate the ability to translate complex, multi-variable business scenarios into financial frameworks suitable to be tracked. As such, ability to build/enhance value capture tools to ensure financial delivery.

Provide sound analytics of business case with the ability to incorporate and compare versus latest estimates and actual results.

Guide and influence Initiative Management Teams on financial impacts in advance of making decisions.

 

 

Qualifications 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

• BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or the equivalent required

• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred

• 3+ years of finance business strategy, planning, and operations experience

• Advanced financial acumen.  Corporate Finance and Valuation experience including P&L tracking of a business case and NPV assessments

• Ability to manage directly as well as influence others

• Ability to work with limited / no supervision

• Position requires approximately 10-20% travel

• Proficient in English and the languages of the market (where applicable)

 

EXPERIENCE:

•Advanced financial acumen. 

Experience in financial modeling, reporting, and analysis

•Ability to recognize operational deficiencies through data, and effectively translate/communicate model outcomes and value driven opportunities to leadership

•Experienced in dynamic scenario planning across different areas of the business

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with superior ability to present to management and communicate with diverse stakeholders

 

SKILLS:

• 3+ years of highly skilled experience in Excel and data modeling

• Problem solving skills to show the ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.

• Ability to jump seamlessly between priorities and issues
