The Sr. Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst's role is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for supporting Nestlé’s Sales Organization with the design, development, and management of analytical solutions to drive actionable insights. As part of the Commercial Intelligence Hub (CIH) BI team, you will use data management, reporting, and citizen development automation/application tools to support the strategic initiatives for the Center for Demand Generation (CDG).  Solutions developed by the Sr. BI Analyst will help unlock insights that drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, balance cost vs service, and simplify executional complexity. 

 

In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholder teams. You will closely collaborate with individuals in the Center for Commercial Development (CCD), Marketing, and Product Divisions, defining and implementing analytical solutions while also acting as an intermediary with technical partners in IT, Digital Hub and Enterprise Analytics.  


Responsibilities: 

Analytics

  • Understand the key priorities and challenges of the CDG.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the category specific datasets, reporting tools and analytical solutions, both in retailer and Nestlé’s platforms.
  • Partner with stakeholders in the CDG to translate business requirements into tangible reporting deliverables with a clearly defined acceptance criterion.
  • Collaborate with CIH Sales Analytics team in the discovery and prioritization of work items related to the development of analytical capabilities for each account.
  • Develop end-to-end advanced Business Intelligence Solutions, from concept, to deployment.
  • Collect, cleanse, and understand complex data to identify more accurate ways of reporting, analyzing, and communicating opportunities.
  • Leverage visualization tools to provide insights that support both strategic and operational decision making throughout the end users’ daily functions.
  • Coordinates development efforts related to retailer solutions across CIH BI, Master Data teams.
  • Leads workstreams with IT and Enterprise Analytics for the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of the Nestlé data infrastructure that empowers retailer analytical solutions.
  • Assists the preparation of analysis in areas such as KPI performance against targets & goals, forecast accuracy, segmentation, pricing, product assortment, market share, and distribution. 
  • Implement processes to monitor the quality, integrity, and accuracy of data sources by building automated monitoring capabilities to proactively identify anomalies.
  • Provide sustain support for the portfolio of analytical solutions in production in accordance to SLAs agreed with stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end users to facilitate change management efforts and to drive adoption of report and dashboard solutions.

Project Management

  • Effective communicator with a track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent workstreams between special projects, pilots, proof-of-concepts, and ad-hoc project work.
  • Document technical requirements, data catalog, business definitions, process dependencies, flows, and decisions related to the development cycle of analytical solutions.
  • Participate in the evaluation, intake, design, and integration strategy between multiple functions and data sources for varying Nestlé businesses. 
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to align on requirements, level of effort, prioritization, and acceptance criteria throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage work in an Agile environment, specifically within Azure DevOps.
  • Develop professional presentations and project status reporting appropriate for their intended audience. 
  • Present solutions and recommendations to all levels of leadership.


Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of analytical experience creating reports, dashboards, and transforming large amounts of data into actionable intelligence to drive business decisions.
  • Experience using a project management platform. Agile DevOps is strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience with implementing diagnostic analytics for complex operational and management problems.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/tools and data modeling techniques with the ability to proactively identify and share trends from the data to make informed recommendations. Experience using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications like Alteryx is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure environment, AAS, Synapse within and/or equivalent Transactional Data Warehouse environment.
  • Skilled in preparing datasets using SQL.  
  • Strong data visualization skills using Power BI required, advanced DAX knowledge preferred.  
  • Experience creating detailed process documentation and conducting knowledge transfer.
  • Hands-on experience using third party platforms provided by Circana and/or Nielsen is preferred.
  • Functional experience in CPG industry and familiarity with retailer data/analytics systems preferred.
