Position Summary:

Within Nestlé USA Corporate Decision Support, the Business Unit team acts as the FP&A arm of Nestlé’s Finance Leadership and supports the Divisions with business and financial acumen. The Sr Finance Manager (Decision Support – BU) is leading the Corporate FP&A team that acts as the liaison between Decision support and the Divisions and reports directly to the Corporate FP&A Director. As an integral business partner, the individual must be a change leader and effectively collaborate, communicate and influence across multiple functions in the organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Enhance decision making speed and accuracy, drive standardization and centralization of FP&A processes within Divisions utilizing existing infrastructure and reports. Collaborate with rest of Corporate DS team to drive ongoing optimization of reports, tools and processes to ultimately support managers and executives to make informed and effective decisions.
  • Ensure meaningful insight into drivers of monthly actuals and forecasts for all divisions within Nestle USA. Build relationships with cross-functional finance teams and businesses at various levels, to ensure up-to-date and accurate information, and one source of truth.
  • Lead a team of Corporate FP&A analysts embedded into Divisions to ensure value-added service, and business and financial acumen is provided to the Divisions and their respective FP&A Managers.
  • Lead corporate NUSA Vevey DF process. Own the monthly calendar, prepare recommendations, and drive alignment on the NUSA DF submission. Coordinate the integration of executive feedback into NUSA revisions and perform scenario planning. Ensure first time quality and timely submission of the forecast to Vevey. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
  • Support the Corporate FP&A Director in the preparation of monthly leadership presentations around business results, drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance on corporate processes and initiatives.
  • Manage, lead or participate in special NUSA projects to support strategic initiatives and provide additional ad hoc analyses for Nestle USA.

 

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • BA/BS with major in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting/Finance

 

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of business environment, and good knowledge of NUSA product portfolio. Experience in Division and / or FP&A preferred
  • Knowledge of Nestlé Accounting & Costing Standards and reporting standards/guidelines
  • Knowledge and ability to design financial & non-financial measurements and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to drive business performance
  • Working knowledge of finance systems used by NUSA F&C, including Oracle /  SAP / BW preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, VBA preferred)

 

Skills:

  • Leadership experience and strong stakeholder management skills. Effectively interact, communicate and influence across multiple functions in the organization.
  • Strong change leader and team player. Strong ability to optimize and facilitate the application of business processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ideal candidate is results focused, a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently and has a desire to make a difference
