Position Summary

The NRS Senior Analyst, Sales Operations serves as a key business partner to SOMs, Field Sales Managers (FSMs) and Field Sales Senior Managers (FSSMs), helping translate strategic priorities into effective deployment, execution, and measurable business results. This role combines operational excellence with strategic thinking to ensure field resources are aligned to the highest-value opportunities, deployment plans are optimized, and leaders have actionable insights to drive performance.

The Senior Analyst acts as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, bringing together data, deployment planning, business intelligence, and field insights to improve decision-making, strengthen accountability, and accelerate growth. This role champions the NRS Roadmap principles of Business Ownership, Internal Connectivity, Continuous Improvement, Technology & Route to Market, and People Planning.

Location Requirement: HQ or Field Sales Office based (Arlington, VA, Solon, OH, Eden Prairie, MN, Loveland, OH,  Rogers, AR)

 


Key Responsibilities

 

Deployment Strategy & Execution

 

  • Partner with SOM Team to understand Divisional priorities and strategy that will drive/prioritize FSR activities in field
  • Lead deployment planning activities to ensure field resources are aligned to key business priorities, customer opportunities, Key Drive Times, and Must Win Battles.
  • Analyze deployment effectiveness and recommend adjustments that improve coverage, productivity, and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation based on customer needs, execution gaps, emerging opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with FSMs and FSSMs to ensure field deployment decisions are grounded in objective business data and performance insights.
  • Monitor deployment performance and proactively identify risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
  • Support the execution of national, regional, and customer-specific initiatives through effective field deployment planning.
  • Partner and collaborate with REBO, SRE Team, and CIH to ensure data is accurate and reflected correctly in reporting

 

Strategic Business Partnership

 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to FSMs and FSSMs, translating business performance data into actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate business planning processes that connect division priorities to field execution.
  • Help leaders identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and resource needs.
  • Participate in business reviews, planning sessions, and strategy discussions to provide analytical support and strategic guidance.
  • Challenge assumptions and bring forward recommendations that improve performance, simplify execution, and accelerate decision-making.
  • Enable leaders to focus on the highest-impact activities through data-driven prioritization.

 

Analytics & Insights

 

  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence tools.
  • Transform data into clear business narratives that highlight trends, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Monitor KPIs, deployment effectiveness, customer performance, and execution metrics.
  • Deliver proactive insights that help leaders anticipate business challenges before they impact results.
  • Identify root causes of performance gaps and recommend solutions that drive measurable improvement.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and business reviews through robust analytical rigor.

 

Technology & Continuous Improvement

 

  • Drive adoption of technology, automation, AI, and Route-to-Market capabilities that enhance field effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve scalability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through analysis, measurement, and implementation support.
  • Champion a data-first, technology-enabled approach to business decision-making.
  • Leverage emerging tools and capabilities to improve planning, reporting, deployment optimization, and business insights.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

 

  • Build strong partnerships across Field Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Development, Divisions, Finance, Analytics, and other stakeholders.
  • Connect field insights with organizational priorities to improve alignment and execution.
  • Influence without direct authority by providing objective analysis, business recommendations, and operational expertise.
  • Support communication and alignment across multiple levels of the organization to ensure consistent execution against priorities.

 

Qualifications

 

Required

 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Analytics, Category Management, Customer Development, Retail Sales, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with routing principles, concepts, methodology, route planning, routing systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and business analytics capabilities.
  • Experience working with reporting platforms, dashboards, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to influence and drive action without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

 

Preferred

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field strongly preferred, or 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting field sales organizations.
  • Experience with deployment, workforce planning, route-to-market, or retail execution optimization.
  • Experience leveraging AI and advanced analytics to improve business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of retail sales execution, customer planning, and field operations.

Salary: $80,745.00 to $118,180.00 per year
