Position Summary
As a Sr. Analyst IT Business Systems, you will be a part of the digital integration team where you will serve as a liaison between the IT & Business Consumers and Customers. As part of the Product team within Local BRM / Regional / Global Product Group Team, brings deep understanding to the opportunities and issues facing your business function and advises on the best solutions. You’ll translate business strategies, opportunities, threats and needs into IT product requirements, then plays a key role within the product team to specify, test and deploy those as IT system solutions.
Job Duties
- Contribution to IT Strategy under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Lead, Product Manager or Tech Lead.
- Supports the Product Manager, Regional Leads and Business Relationship Manager in the development of the strategy through incremental improvement of the product.
- Ability to lead and influence senior business stakeholders in sessions that identify transformation opportunities
- Thought leader with the ability to describe how cloud native technology can enable digital transformation and improve business value.
- Understand the long and short term perspectives of situations and how they relate to achieving targeted business outcomes.
- Gather requirements and translate into user stories for the agile delivery team
- Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications
- Contributes to design of business scenarios and use cases for the product mix, including product introduction, specification and the change management required to maximize its adoption/value
- Identifies gaps in existing functionalities, options for improvement and opportunities for process automation
- Works with business partners to conduct solutioning sessions, and MVP taste-testing all along the life cycle from business demand to value delivery
- Assesses near-term needs, using structured interview processes and consumer research methods to understand opportunities and help the business establish priorities.
- Consults with product teams and proposes alternative solutions. Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and product priorities.
Required Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of business analysis experience in a relevant functional area (Supply chain, Finance, Warehousing, Marketing & Sales, etc.)
- Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment using design thinking methodology, writing user stories and understand the technical implications.
- Solution integration knowledge of E2E processes flowing across business functions
- Strong understanding of cloud native technology, digital decoupling and the importance of API led design principles
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with one of the following: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud platform or Amazon Webservices
The Arlington office offers a combination of collaborating at the office with the flexibility to work from home on any given day. In alignment with your manager, you can choose where you work during the work week but living within a commutable distance to the Arlington office.
